Now I don't know a terrible lot about her diagnoses or lack of them (or whether she agrees with the BPD or histrionic diagnoses), but that is one heck of a fucking superiority complex going on!

@JetTail your specific comment was that hardly anyone had seen Aquaman. Of course she isn't the lead in that film, the clue being in the name. She had one of the significant female roles in a major earning film in a large franchise. It's not like she's done a couple of art house films.

I'd definitely heard of her but only (I think) when she started dating Johnny Depp. I'm not familiar with her acting work.

I'd heard of her because my husband has a soft spot for B movies. First saw her in All the boys love Mandy Lane, then Machete Kills...then for obvious reasons her profile was elevated and she appeared in Aquaman/Justice League.

She does have a pretty decently sized CV...however not filled with quality so agree that her counter suing Depp is rather ludicrous especially as he's been dropped by two massive franchises because of all the mud being slung about.

I can't say I think much of either of them at this point in time though.

Yes. She starred in 'The Jonses' with Demi Moore and David Duchovny. I got the impression she was playing herself.

AM2 would have been filmed a couple of years ago, production takes ages. Her screen time has been drastically cut. I'm not saying he is going to walk straight back into a major film but he'll earn. She won't.

This really isn't difficult to understand. She is counter-suing him because he is suing her. Its a standard legal tactic in defamation cases. Her lawyers also used the standard legal tactic of asking the judge for the case to be closed due to lack of evidence, which was also blown up by the media. That simply means that her side are unlikely to have expenses awarded against them by the court and Depp's is, for prolonging the trial.

The question is whether Depp can prove that he did not hit her on even one occasion on the balance of probabilities. She does not have to "prove she is innocent" - this is not a criminal trial.

Your style of writing is beyond hyperbole - why the excitement?

I've always disliked her so much that I completely stopped watching Johnny Depp films when he took up with her, as I was reminded of her, and her unpleasant personality, every time I looked at him (I used to like him very much, as an actor, before this) Not at all surprised by all the drama that has ensued.

And he's 58. If he were female it's extremely unlikely he'd be working anyway. Vanishingly unlikely he'd be in well-paid lead roles.

He's been acting and well known for getting on for 40 years, he didn't just walk into pirates as an unknown actor

That Hollywood is sexist is another matter, there are plenty of older well known female actors . She wasn't going to do well fighting for parts against them even if it wasn't for this circus of a court case

I am not sure who abused whom. There is a possibility that they were both horrible to each other

A few things I find striking about this trial:

• Amber Heard has an extremely good memory
• Johnny Depp speaks extremely slow
• The discussions on social media about this trial and the lack of understanding of domestic violence. Just because Johnny Depp pulled the chair for his layer and wasn't abusive to his ex partners, doesn't mean that he wasn't abusive to Amber Heard

All in all, I believe none of them will benefit from this, no matter who wins. Both of their careers will be damaged and probably Amber Heards more

No, but in fairness the only films I Iike are British comedies (preferably with Brenda Blethyn in😍) but apart from that who takes photos of their sleeping partner (shudder😰) I'd never be able to sleep comfortably with anybody again........creepy!
