Someone has blocked my driveway abs I cannot get out. Too late to start knocking on doors (10:38pm) here in Uk. What can I do? Need to get kids to school in morning and I need to get to work. What can I do if they don’t move it by morning?

The culprit lived 5 doors down. OP was on hold and still waiting to non emergency police after 20 minutes - and that’s just to speak to them @Joessaysthankyou in what way would the police have been quicker?!

That woman was obviously very rude but could you not have taken a bus, or cycled if needed?

May as well have put #bekind

So because the car owner was a selfish whatever, the OP should put herself out and catch the bus??! Have heard it all now 😂😂😂in fact OP, why not GIVE the car owner your drive in future?!!

Hahaha.... why stop there..........better get her some fluffy slippers to go with her fluffy dressing gown as a way of apologising for disturbing her rather than taking the bus LMAO.

Yeah get yourself down to Halfords and get a bike, if it's a long journey treat yourself to an electric bike.

Don't forget to buy a helmet as well.

Honestly, it's like you're not thinking how you can get out of the situation. You mustn't disturb the CF who caused the issue.

It amazes me the cheek of some people. Who even does that? Why on Earth would you park in front of someone's driveway. The fact she was huffing and puffing like you'd inconvenienced her! Cheeky sod!

FlissyPaps · 17/05/2022 19:24

She came out in her dressing gown huffing and puffing and giving us daggers!

What a cow. I’d have keyed her car on the sly. But glad you were able to track the owner down and get it shifted.

Are you a 13 year old roadman?

No sane intelligent woman acts like.

ImAvingOops · 18/05/2022 07:25

Disagree with that. When you can't get a resolution and an apology via more normal methods (like the police), the best way to deal with a cheeky fucker is to deter them from repeating their behaviour.
You have to be a total twat to park across someone's drive and not give a shit about how that impacts on their lives.

So OP did your DH have to wake up 5 other neighbours before finding the owner? Did they take it as badly as predicted here? Or just not answer the door as also often reccommended here? Wink

Obviously I don’t know about OP but it takes me around 20 minutes to drive to work. To do it by public transport is just under two hours according to the timetables.
