So I was on the fence with these two, and I read the threads but didn't follow them and when I searched them I only found and old one.

My search efforts suck, clearly.

Theres many recordings, albeit put together by a clear DP Pom Pom shaker. But it can't be denied (unless it's suggested it's another woman).

Its so bullying, awful
and nasty, I couldn't list to it all.

She was a heavy drinker and drug user too. She wasn't surprised, she had the same lifestyle. Getting with Johnny just meants someone else paid for it all.

Listening to that YouTube link is like listening to a bad Jackie Collins novel! Especially the bits around 'the only time I asked you help my career and you fucking did nothing'. Could that be any more of a Hollywood cliché?

I do believe JD was abusive though and there is no way AH is going to be found guilty of defamation.

I watched her being cross-examined yesterday - they were crucifying her. She is a compulsive liar. Johnny is an alcoholic and drug addict but there is no evidence that he was a wife beater.

I am no lawyer. I am just surprised that her op ed piece would not be considered gross misrepresentation of the facts, given she is clearly an abuser herself. That's the first thing.

I don't even believe he hit her, but if he did and it was because she hit him repeatedly and emotionally abused and humiliated him over time, and he lashed out once in return out of desperation, it would still not be abuse in the way the op ed represented it. It's completely disingenuous. That's the second thing that makes the op ed completely a joke.

Her constant videoing for clear evidence gathering and control is malicious and weird, and even her secret recordings showed no evidence of him abusing her and let's face it she was desperate to catch him and must've set these videos up constantly, and then goaded him to try to get an abusive reaction, and he never physically abused her. That's abusive controlling behaviour in itself, so how can an emotional and physical abuser write an op ed like that and for it to be ok? She's no advocate for women, she's hat women and making a mockery of domestic abuse.

My starting premise was to believe AH. Yet JD’s legal team are showing that on the stand AH describes an extreme high level of violence with no corroborating evidence. The photos she submits shows v little marks and nothing like what would they be if JD had beaten her as she describes. Her story doesn’t add up. I have no doubt JD’s drug and alcohol addiction made him v difficult to have a relationship with, but I am far from convinced he was physically violent.

She also made sure to do secrete recordings at times he was vulnerable. The day after his mother died, the day he found out from his accountant (?) he owed or had lost tens of millions etc.

It's mental how they're destroying her lies on the stand but you still get oddballs on here bending over backwards to say she's a victim or attempt to make out 'ooh they're both as bad as each other 🥴🥴'. I mean... there are hours and hours of audio footage with her sounding like Rebecca DeMornay from The Hand That Rocks The Cradle/Single White Female/Jodi Arias, witness accounts etc. Didn't she also take over 58000 photos/selfies but no photos of marks on her face? People can be a bit dim can't they.

I do think she is a terrible actress, but if I was asked to talk about physical and mental abuse I have encountered in a relationship, I would have to act to cry too. When it happened I was upset and scared but to deal with it, I had to bury emotion and minimise it. Trying to appear distraught is making her seem fake. If it did happen, I think she would be better to talk about it in a factual way as it would be more natural and believable. But maybe her lawyers care telling her to act upset.

Cna you link to the recordings please that you listened to where you hear Johnny being the abuser and Amber is the victim? I have listened to hours of recordings and haven't come across those yet. I would like to listen to the ones you have that show that dynamic.

sorry for the delay in responding. There are lots of examples which were used for Amber’s part of the trial, this Twitter thread does a pretty good job of summarising them and they include the relevant audio clips. Their focus is on whether it was liable or not but the thread also demonstrates the abuse of Heard by Depp. Here’s a link to the first tweet in the thread AH twitter thread including recordings

Also, If you want a really excellent summary of the claims, counterclaims and why Depp was not liabled by being called a wifebeater, the UK judgement is really clear. It details what happened in each incident and why the judge ruled as they did, I think almost all of the incidents were brought up in the US case as well, there’s a lot of detail so I recommend just going to the conclusion on each incident (these are numbered) and the reasons for the rulings. Obviously the verdict is in and it’s a huge win for JD, I think this was a mistake in terms of the law but also just wrong overall, but most of the world seems to disagree with that take so there you go!

I think that he would never have bothered with this case if it wasn't for the accusations of sexual violence. I can take flak. But he has two children (I believe?) with Vanessa Paradis? I have no idea how old they are, but my career would mean nothing. What my children thought if I was accused of sexual violence, would kill me.

I think his eldest son's name is Jack? There's one occasion in evidence where she shouted at Johnny and frightened his son.

I don't know what was the point at which he walked.
She filed for divorce when he told her he was leaving.
She got a restraining order against him, 6 days after he told her he was leaving the relationship. She then had 'bruises'.

I'm pretty sure that it might have been hard for him, with addictions, to even be allowed custody of his children. So these accusations would have made their mother even less likely to allow him to see them. I think this case was to clear his name. It's not about money, or his career. I genuinely believe that he took this case for the sake of his children. Just my off-beat view.

The other part of the evidence that I found interesting was how he met Amber. It was casting for The Rum Life and he found her to be brilliant for the role. And the first sort of 'love' spark I guess was when it was a naked scene and he was involved in the directing somehow and said that she could do it in such a way that she didn't need to get naked. I think that's a very protective instinct? He knows the industry. I think he tried perhaps to protect her and em......... well.......... here we are!
