Fingers crossed they're found safe and sound soon.

Why isn't this all over the news? Literally nothing on BBC news website that I can see? Only the papers reporting it!

This?

It beggars belief. Nothing except Sinn Fein and Croydon Mayer on bbc website.

this needs to be shared far and wide.

Springandsummerarecoming · 07/05/2022 22:54

I hope they have just gone for a walk and got lost or something innocent like that. Hope they are home safe asap.

Hospedia · 07/05/2022 22:55

Ellmau · 07/05/2022 22:49

Very worrying. It's been several hours now, they can't have wandered off.

I don't know. My brother once wandered off and was gone for several hours, completely oblivious to the worry he'd caused. He was brought home by a policeman who found him wandering around a park a few miles away after he took himself off for a walk.

I remember commenting the exact same thing when an Asian schoolgirl went missing maybe last year. I'm astounded it's not huge news.

Alisae · 07/05/2022 22:56

Those poor babies. It’s so dark.

I know the other thread was closed due to speculation, but I hope it is ok to say that I hope it’s some sort of custody feud, which would still be awful obviously, but hope they are safe, warm and with someone who loves them at least.

Because they’re not white

Redshoeblueshoe · 07/05/2022 22:58

It is on the Sky News site.

Last seen in the front garden at 6pm. Relative went to check on them an hour later. Seems strange.

Yes this does seem strange - it implies that they weren't in sight of an adult for a whole hour, that's a long time to leave two 6 year olds unattended. I hope they are found soon.

I know a lot of children go missing every year and aren’t on the news, but given the ages of the children and how long it’s been I really expected to see something on the BBC news.

Surely the more people that see their picture quickly in London, the better?

SquirmOfEels · 07/05/2022 22:59

I'm really hoping that they are safe somewhere with someone they know. And that they found and are back where they should be soon

Because they are Black.

No doubt in my mind it'd be all over the news if they were White.

The media only thought that Black Lives Mattered when it was trending.

catandcoffee · 07/05/2022 23:00

Any updates ?
been looking online but nothing yet.
Does this mean they are still missing 🤔

RiverRats · 07/05/2022 23:00

Oh how awful I hope they are found safe

This has just been on the 10 o'clock news. Praying they will be found safe and well.
Beautiful children.

It’s been five hours since they’ve gone missing give the police a chance, it’s only been a couple of hours since the met police put it out and you’re already jumping on the race card. Unbelievable. It’s actually sickening.

Ellmau · 07/05/2022 23:01

It may not be on TV because the parents aren't doing an appeal - they haven't released the surname either which seems unusual. I do hope it's a good outcome.

Hospedia · 07/05/2022 23:02

"The race card"? Hmm How would one obtain one of these magical cards? Asking for a friend.

That was my first thought.

I hope that they are found safe and well very soon.

Eh? The BBC news page is pretty much the nation's go to for up to date news.

6 year old children going missing is news. Getting it in there as soon as it became clear they were genuine missing might have meant a member of the public saw it and spotted them before it got dark.
