Sick to death of online parents' evening

The Telegraph headline says parents are 'sick to death' of online parents' evening and are desperate to get back to face-to-face meetings.

On here I've read mostly positive comments and how parents never want to go back to sitting in the hall waiting in a massive queue to see the science teacher who always runs over, that it's so much more convenient to sit at home, click through and done. I was quite surprised to see such a strong headline against them.

What do you reckon?

YABU - Would prefer face-to-face

YANBU - Online please

Practicality it is better online, but I do miss seeing their work.
My yr 2 and year 1 children I've never seen inside their classrooms let alone their work books (I know for obvious reasons).

From the point of view of staff, it's far nicer to be able to keep parents to time, no shouting or threats/score settling with other parents when they see them across the hall, and it's good to have the money that would have been spent on premises staff and support compelled to work 17 hour days to facilitate it to go on things for the kids (not forgetting that some of the support staff won't ever be paid for it or able to take it off in lieu, so they're being forced to work for free). And less assertive parents are guaranteed their slots will not be taken up by the ones who just won't stop talking, plus there's no chance for kids to 'lose' the timesheets when they're booked online.

Oh online is a million times better. I'm a teacher and more than 90% of parents (and nearly all the teachers) voted to stick to online. It suits pretty much everyone so much better. For me, it means I can see my 1 year old and 3 year old before bedtime, rather than go an entire 24 hours without seeing their mum. It also means not being in school for more than 14 hours total, which I think is unreasonable, AND it means that the parents who try to just carry on talking even though it's someone else's slot just gets cut off. Best thing to come out of thr pandemic for sure!

My Dc's secondary is online. I personally don't like it I like the face to face. Last year because some of the teachers didn't have their camera's on and yours has to stay off you a literally talking to a blank screen.
