The Queen has coped for most of her life without you. I don't think she needs you 'protecting her' now.

I'm usually entire ambivalent to the royals but this has really bruised my cherry!

Jesus christ the hatred for Harry and Meghan is fucking weird.

Yup. It really is.

The whole idea of having a monarchy is bizarre. It's weird for them, the public's relationship with them is batshit (all these posters talking like the know them intimately). Harry's caught right in the net of the insanity of it all. They were so right to get out.

Yep totally agree with you .

He also said he's the Queens confidant & she talks to him about things she doesn't talk to other people about 🤔

Sure she does Harry, you tell yourself that. I'm quite sure NOONE in the RF would confide in him. Not when he runs off at the mouth to the media at every opportunity

How on earth would you know?
Seriously people need to have a word with themselves.

StormzyinaTCup · 20/04/2022 18:36

'Protector' my eye!!
Every time Harry opens his mouth and says something he reminds me of another entitled and arrogant royal arse. Never mind about his father he is sounding more and more like his 'dear' Uncle.

LittleJustice · 20/04/2022 18:40

What a prat he is. Honestly.

WinnieTheW0rm · 20/04/2022 18:40

He also said he's the Queens confidant & she talks to him about things she doesn't talk to other people about

That shows the Queen's skills - making the other person feel that they really matter

Mummygreenpea · 20/04/2022 18:47

I currently live in the US. Harry has been all over the news here today and the press are absolutely lapping it up. If I had a pound for every person who asks me if I know him personally I would be a rich woman but not as rich as he is doing lengthy interviews with some of the news channels.

meercat23 · 20/04/2022 18:48

Did he actually say that he was the Queen's confidante? I read a transcript that said he did say that she could talk to him about things she couldn't talk to others about but I couldn't see he had used the word confidante at all. For me that is quite a big difference.

DaysInPinkPolyester · 20/04/2022 18:52

There's always an arse somewhere in need of a hole. Step forward Harry whatever your name is.

RobertsRadio · 20/04/2022 19:01

That Harry, he's a right royal plonker.

I think it’s exactly the same thing. Either way I think he’s deluded.

What’s he talking about? Invictus? Anything else?

RubyJam · 20/04/2022 19:10

Yanbu - makes him sound awful

I cringed for him just reading about this

MissPolliezDolly · 20/04/2022 19:18

He really is a very silly wee laddie

No, he didn’t say confidante. And you’re right, it’s a very big difference. Doesn’t suit the narrative though, so they’ll say it’s the same or try to breeze over it.

Approval or disapproval or just entertainment?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 20/04/2022 19:53

Mummyoflittledragon according to the transcript, Hoda asked one question about Invictus and then moved on to more personal matters, as any fool might have expected. TBF Harry did mention it again later, but only when he wanted to dodge a question as to whether or not he missed his father and brother

BlackberrySky · 20/04/2022 19:53

I have never known anyone make such a drama out of "being out of the limelight"!

I don't think there is s big difference at all.

What he described is a confidante.

Not sure I see the purpose in pretending it isn't tbh.

What I see as the difference is that talking about things that you couldn't or wouldn't talk to anyone else about could be anything from silly jokes, gossip or more serious and/or personal things. For me confidante implies the more serious and personal rather than the lighter chat. That is just my opinion but that is why I asked what he had actually said. If the transcript is right he didn't claim to be her confidante, that is what the press have said.

I see what you mean. But saying she could talk to him about things she can't talk to others about, to me makes him a confidante. I don't think those things have to be serious at all. I don't think that's a definer.

But now I have read the word confidante so many times it doesn't sound like a word anymore 😂

I agree. Confidante would be for secrets or private info. What Harry said could be anything, from jokes to more serious things, not necessarily things that others couldn’t know, just maybe they wouldn’t be interested or understand. It’s different.

Mayorquimby2 · 20/04/2022 20:31

Telling someone that they're better than everyone else in the country by virtue of birthright from the second they're born and then getting annoyed when they're sanctimonious or condescending 🤔

MyCatIsAJerk · 20/04/2022 20:34

I’ll never understand the hatred for someone people don’t know, will never meet and who has absolutely no effect on their life whatsoever.
It’s absurd.

HRTQueen · 20/04/2022 20:38

It says a lot about the UK that people can get more angry about Harry than the Andrew

I agree SleeplessInEngland

it was an odd thing to say. But we only know snippets of what’s going on. I’m pleased he is happy he looked so miserable and lost for a long time. I’m sure his family are happy for him too

SquirrelG · 20/04/2022 20:40

He's got a massive ego hasn't he?
