I have zero covid symptoms
I've had all 3 jabs she's had none
She doesn't believe in using anti bac /hand gel (fair enough )
Yet she had the audacity to ask me to do a lateral flow?
Aibu to think it's cheeky ?

Ditto having RTFT, so you don't need to tell other people their opinions are wrong. Just accept this is an AIBU and we each have different viewpoints.

This is really weird because you told me I should RTFT which insinuated that you thought I hadn't, then told me that other PP agreed with you. That's great; but it doesn't mean I will. I haven't said I don't accept people have different views I have said RTFT will not make me change mine. The ditto bit I really don't understand because you told me to RTFT, I didn't tell you to, so that's not the same.

Either way I disagree with the majority because I don't think doing LTF is a big deal. Regardless of vaccination status.

So if I understand correctly, PCRs following a Covid infection can show positive later even though you are in fact negative?

Well, many people are suffering because of this anomaly, not least my friend who has had to cancel her trip, and may have been negative all along!

How anyone navigates this with any credibility now is beyond me.

Lateral flow testing was al sets a farce. No one can know if it was done properly or at all.

if the control line shows up it's been done properly.

Unless I'm actually poorly and curious about what kind of poorly it is, or visiting somebody very vulnerable, I'm not wasting money and plastics on LFTs.

I tested negative the day I developed symptoms at Christmas, and LFTs didn't show positive until the next day. When our household had it again in March, we were days into a "cold" before it showed on LFTs. You can easily go around super-spreading with a clear concience and clear LFTs, so for the majority of circumstances there is no point in massaging people's Covid anxiety and going through the discomfort and inconvenience to appease them.

It doesn't matter what their choices or reasons are, you have a choice to do it or not. Not sure why you've invited others to judge them when it's really a simple choice for you.
