I recently went to see a show at the theatre,predominantly to see a particular person. Although it was a production I wanted to see too.
I dont want to say what, as it's a bit outing.
Anyway I went with a friend and we loved it.
However, I cant stop thinking about this celeb since.
The show was wonderful and I want to go back.
I could go this weekend as i am off work.D Do I sound like a stalker??
And who can I go with? I cant ask same friend! I dont really have another person to ask.
I could go by myself but would that be strange?
I feel like I need to get it out if my system.

@Iusedtobecarmen I've never done this before but I'm just guessing as I would imagine a final show could finish by around 10 or maybe later and then for him ti be out by 11 seems a bit fast but I could be wrong this is just me trying to logicalise it in my mind

who played Joseph, so i thought jason not far behind.
Now I'm thinking about it. It doesn't seem long
I have no idea how long cast stay behind??

There ar ALWAYS people by the stage door (quite a few) so that's not weird at all, i.e. wanting an autograph, actors like it, it's better for them than if no one turning up.
Obviously weird if you keep doing it for the same one. But if you actually manage to strike a chat with him, say if it's a small griup chat, then yo ucan turn up at some later point and say hi to him - absolutely fine. Just see how it goes. Maybe actually meeting him will take the edge off, he will see more of a 'normal person'.

Could have stayed behind longer than usual for whateber reason. Maybe a friend came to see him/ was in audience and invited backstage? Try again on a weekday.

Show has finished now. It was only running for 2 weeks!So no further opportunity now!

OP, I one nonchalantly bumped into Nick Cave after a gig, because I happened to be leaving, and turned the wrong way, as he was leaving.

I didn't do anything useful with it, but it always struck me that it was the best way to do it. So have a quick look for the stage door, set yourself up "on the phone" a short distance away, and then walk up as you see him/ them. Rather then standing there looking like a lemon.

Oh, and I'm trying really hard not to yell at the PP, who used "postmenopausal" in a pejorative description.

FFS, I should be able to read MN without having to educate about that shit!

Thank you, OP! I'm ill with Covid and feel like shit but this thread has cheered me right up! FWIW, I had similar feelings for Bowie back in the day... saw three of his concerts in one year.

I'm not normally like this. Maybe its my hormones
I used to love going to see bands etc when I was younger and hanging around after but that was decades ago

I've always liked Jason though not in a stalker way as I've never seen him anything before !
I love the theatre generally
I've never seen Joseph before even it's one I love and the music etc
It's all very uplifting so I would definitely go to see it again maybe with DC.

I dont know what's happened to me since actually seeing the lovely Jason though as its rekindled the flame
I'm slightly annoyed with myself for not hanging around a bit longer now. I suppose in my head I just thought the cast would get changed and then go back to hotel or whatever.
