I recently went to see a show at the theatre, predominantly to see a particular person. Although it was a production I wanted to see too.
I dont want to say what, as it's a bit outing.
Anyway I went with a friend and we loved it.
However, I cant stop thinking about this celeb since.
The show was wonderful and I want to go back.
I could go this weekend as i am off work.D Do I sound like a stalker??
And who can I go with? I cant ask same friend! I dont really have another person to ask.
I could go by myself but would that be strange?
I feel like I need to get it out if my system.
Sorry if I sound nutsBlush

Dying to know who it is...

Iusedtobecarmen · 14/04/2022 15:07

@CircusBaby

Definitely go on your own, I love going to shows on my own especially if I have a crush on who I'm going to see.
I dont know why I'm so nervous ah ou it going on my own. Perhaps if it was a serious play I wouldnt be so scared . But it's not like that sort of show. I feel like I will look like a middle aged woman all glammed up to impress a celebrity in case they happen to fall in love with her!!!!

@CircusBaby

Oh and I ALWAYS wait at the stage door. It's a tradition when I've been to a show. I met one of my crushes in February at the stage door and he was just as gorgeous and lovely as I imagined
Tell me who?!!

All the shows I’ve seen since theatres re-opened have said cast won’t be going to the stage door after the show and won’t be giving autographs or photos. Check if they have a social media page as that would be where they post it - Hamilton was the most recent one I saw that said this.
But going to the theatre by yourself is absolutely fine, enjoy it!

Iusedtobecarmen · 14/04/2022 15:11

I need to do my research asap

This post has brought back lots of happy memories of when I was 16 and went to see the same west end show every weekend, hung about the stage door, met a great bunch of girls doing the same. Got to know the cast so well we were all invited to the cast party at the end of the run....which looking back on it could have been all sorts of inappropriate , but thankfully wasn't!

@Iusedtobecarmen I wish I could tell you because he was sooo nice and he complimented me but I gushed about it so much on social media and irl it's way too outing.

I wouldn't worry about what you look like, I used to think this then I realised everyone is far too interested in their own experience to actually care or judge. I'm very much a seize the day, enjoy life while you're here type so I'd say get yourself there and have a blast and why not Smile

If you can afford to go again, why not? Life is short, enjoy OP Smile

AFS1 · 14/04/2022 15:53

You’ll regret it if you don’t go!
And it’s not weird to go to the stage door - there’s always at least a handful of people waiting there.
I once paid to go to a meet and greet after a gig. Went completely on my own. Didn’t regret it for a second!

mummydoris2006 · 14/04/2022 16:01

@Iusedtobecarmen is it Peter Andre in Grease? 🤔

Iusedtobecarmen · 14/04/2022 16:02

I can afford it technically but I guess in one way It feels wasteful when I've been so recent
I certainly haven't got spare money as such!

Give us clue to the genre. Musical? Rough idea of the area?

Good news is I've now found a potential companion to come with me. But just as I'm about to book I'm having remorse thinking wasteful. I saw it so recently and should I just be grateful I enjoyed it, move on and celebrate Easter.
Help!!!!!

Is it London?

7eleven · 14/04/2022 17:03

Why don’t you chance going to the stagedoor for an autograph before booking another ticket.
