Thank you note written by 3 week old baby

Thank you so much for my gift, I love it. Here's what I have been up to. Mummy and Daddy say hi etc etc

I’ve just done it from my newborn (maybe the card was from me) because I couldn’t hand on heart write a thank you note from me for the tenth huge knitted blanket that won’t be used because she will drown in it, the cuddly toys, or the clothes bought that will never fit her the season they need to be worn, or the vast amount of hideous pink clothes we’ve been bought. The baby is much politer than I am! I know I sound really ungrateful but it has caused me so much stress figuring out where I am supposed to put this stuff and filling my house up with needless stuff that I know I will never use. And the last thing I want to be doing is constantly tidying my house which it feels like I am doing with a newborn. My heart sinks every time I get a visitor arrive with a gift bag!

@Goldi321 most shops will allow you to exchange baby clothes for (a) the same item in larger size or (b) sometimes, goods of similar value

I'd just be pleased to get a thank you note and an update/pic of baby.

Tbh I think it's going to be a bit of a Marmite thing.

Cringe!!!

It’s almost as cringe as when a new born baby buys a present to give to their older sibling

I’m pretty sure that most children know that new born babies can’t pop to the shops to buy gifts, just as most adults realise that babies can’t write letters

How miserable do you have to be to bitch about something like this? Having just had a baby they will be over the moon and even though baby is still young they made the time to thank you. If its you complaining give your head a wobble
