How many friends do you have

As an adult how many friends would you consider that you actually have, where you'll meet up with them in real life?

I'd say I have less than 10 and closer to five that I'd get into deep conversation with.

Meet ups are rare and the diary is often open and available.

Lots. Two very close female friends I talk to at least weekly. Three close colleagues. Larger circle of about twenty friends that I see three or four times a year and stay in touch with sporadically.

50-60 maybe. I’ve been good at keeping in touch with a few people from each stage of life, and I’ve made quite a lot of friends through work.

No friends ☹️ Nobody seems to like me . Sometimes I don’t even have to say anything and they don’t like me. I was bullied at school so no friends from there either. Can be a very lonely life but I’ve given up now just come to terms with being alone till I die now .

I have about 3 friends, but over the last couple of years I have realised that they are not my real friends and often mistakenly believe I have a perfect life. Two of them have been going through a lot over the last couple of years and assume I'm always ok. When in reality we found as most people Covid really really hard on us work wise (work in NHS) and juggling children and more pressure. I can't remember the last time someone just called me to see how I was and make sure I was ok.

Whilst I used to try and call them regularly to check in on them.

2 good friend who I know I could rely on at any time of day.

I have another 3 or 4 friends who I catch up with at times.

For me I’d rather have quality over quantity.

I'd say only 1 that I can rely on for anything, but about 4/5 that I meet up with regularly for coffee and a catch up. But 1 of those is a parent from my DC swim class and while she's lovely and I really enjoy our catch ups and chats now, I don't think we would ever have been friends if we'd met under different circumstances.

3 close friends.

A few good mum friends who I would definitely class as more than acquaintances/only socialise because of the kids. Ie, I genuinely like them.

Probably a dozen or so other friends who I see occasionally.

About 9 I meet regularly. I always make a real effort to meet and stay in touch though.

Two very close friends going way back over 40 years, I see them all the time, three friends I see and keep in touch with quite a lot and four ex work colleagues I meet up with for coffee or lunch about four times a year.

3 close friends I met on a forum, was 4, but sadly one died in sleep over Christmas, (difficult to comprehend we chatted as normal and that night she died in her sleep, no health issues) we live in different countries but meet up if one of us in another's country.

3 close work friends.

4 really close friends we met as a SW social team, they're the best friends you could ever imagine, even if we constantly take the piss out of each other.

Some old school friends from aged 5 onwards... Not close, but we're all on Facebook so occasionally message each other, comment etc, some of us started our first day at infants together, we may not be close nowadays, but we know we could message each other about something we needed to discuss.

Oh my now I feel old, I've known those two blokes nearly 50 years now and I swear one of the Mom's doesn't look any older Smile

1 very close friend who is also my sister in law! (We were friends long before I dated her brother.)

I find many people two faced sadly so keep myself to myself.

Me too ! I thought I was the only one with no friends 😮 even though I’m used to it now I do find it abit embarrassing 😳

I have many friends but have travelled around a lot and am a lover of people.
Sister in law has none and lives a very lonely life. I feel sorry for her. She is really nice but very much an introvert and doesn't have much luck with people.
