@HELLITHURT - we do have some success, and when I find somewhere she (my cat) likes, we often go back lots and lots, we're off soon to a lovely place we went to in September last year.
One place I stayed had had guests with a rabbit in the past.
One of the problems in the last couple of years is that some of the holiday cottage websites have been WFH (and presumably busy fending lots of calls on covid related re-booking), so have got really poor at answering phone or responding to non-standard queries made by email.
The cottage we're going to soon is in a tiny village, so I was able to find the direct website to check with the owner when I first booked last year.
I always leave nice reviews saying how much my cat enjoyed her stay & was welcomed as a clue for others booking.
One cottage that we used a lot over several years, rather than leaving it dirty, madam used to teeter along the 20ft high open ceiling beams and occasionally sneak into the loft space, dislodging a few cobwebs.
Yes I do think that the holiday places were inundated with calls.
We do have a FB page, we don't take direct bookings but can answer queries, such as can cats, birds etc stay. How do we treat part week lets.
I'm happy to say we've a very long line of 5 star ⭐️ ratings for everything, which obviously includes cleanliness (5 is the maximum).
If you ever fancy a break on the south coat, let me know.
