So about a year ago we had a lady and her young baby move in opposite us.
At first she it's appeared she was single but after a few months I noticed a guy around a lot and seemed to be living there. I can't put my finger on it but they were an odd match and I once saw him leave the house, go to the car- he seemed to put something or collect something from under the wheel arch?! And then walk past the house and into the park..Anyway that might be totally irrelevant just weird. After a few months this guy moves out and within days they was another guy there who had seem to have moved in. This guy was very muscular and 'hard' looking! Didn't notice anything particularly weird about him but just how he literally turned up days after this over guy and was now moved in. Fast forward a few more months, and it's happened again! Within a matter of days one meat head guy has left and another moved in!
I forgot to add actually while second guy was living there a police officer did turn up to the house and was peering through the living room window. They were definitely in and seemed to be hiding?

So now this other guy is in. When guy number 2 was there the women got a new car and now he's gone a new car has arrived. She and new man are driving this car.
I can't work out what the hell is going on, or is it actually nothing? Bf thinks witness protection but im not sure really what that involves. House is council if relevant.

Any ideas?

I’ve no idea but I’d love to know what’s happening too…

This street is sooo boring…

@WomanStanleyWoman

Have you ever considered a life of your own? It can become quite intoxicating once you get into it.
In what way is wondering about things outside your own life incompatible ih whatever you mean by get your own life?

How self absorbed do you have to be to not notice the world around you?

Kego · 25/03/2022 19:27

I’m a pretty nosy person but can’t imagine posting on jammer about such things Confused maybe she doesn’t like being single.

To many strange happenings to suggest it's just that

All a bit curtain twitchy.

But of course if she ever seems in genuine trouble or anything then call the police.

Turningpurple · 25/03/2022 19:33

A friend of mine, single parent to one child. Money problems and also a functioning drug addiction had several men move in over a period of a few months.

Turned out she rented her upstairs to a drug dealer to grow Canabis plants. The money was meant to pay off her drug debt.

Unfortunately, that didn't end well for her. She fell out with them, they didn't write her debt off.

Her life spiralled and she ended up committing suicide. The whole thing was awful and didn't come out until after she died. There was only one of her brothers that knew what had been going off. She was too scared and ashamed to seek help from anyone else.

Not saying this is happening here buy it sounds quite similar.

Ilovesweets88 · 25/03/2022 19:34

She’s clearly on Tinder

godmum56 · 25/03/2022 19:35

Time travellers visiting to set history right but every time they fix one bit something else goes wrong. they re all the same man but from different times and the baby is him as well.

winterchills · 25/03/2022 19:35

Sounds dodgy to me!!

Carpedimum · 25/03/2022 19:35

UKPPS - My money’s on her being either a witness or close to a witness so at risk herself, gang, organised crime etc.

Planetbippop · 25/03/2022 19:35

Possibly someone being trafficked? Seems odd with a child there. I'd defo be curtain twitching lol!

isadoradancing123 · 25/03/2022 19:37

I doubt its witness protection, they go to great lengths to blend in and not draw attention, much more likely something dodgy.

PersephonePomegranate · 25/03/2022 19:38

Id guess it's a high risk witness protection, probably not want to plaster it all over the Internet.

OP hasn't even indicated which country she lives in!

Safe house for intelligence agencies ?
EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 25/03/2022 19:42

Serial dater with really bad taste in men (drug dealers)

SheKnowsWithoutKnowing · 25/03/2022 19:42

Perhaps one of them is the father of the child visiting (ex) and has just moved her boyfriend in or similar. I wonder if my neighbours have though the same about me Grin

Hawkins001 · 25/03/2022 19:42

And the under the wheel arch first guess is a magnetic tracking device. Or a dead drop for intelligence information of some sort.

😂
EvilEdna1 · 25/03/2022 19:50

Those men are not leaving. She is a serial killer specialising in a certain type of man. Draws them into her web with the offer of lodging and then......

They will need to dig up her garden.

WiddlinDiddling · 25/03/2022 19:50

She's got a lot of brothers, who all need to stay one after the other...

She's minding a house full of cannabis growing and these guys show up to deal with the crop from time to time, taking it in turns to live there for a bit.

She's an international woman of mystery, and these are her bodyguards who live with her for several months at a time...

Silverclocks · 25/03/2022 19:51

If it's witness protection they're not very good at it Grin

I still think she's making some cash taking in lodgers. If she needs the money she probably is sharing with the baby.

Pugsnotdrugs101 · 25/03/2022 19:59

This sounds weirdly identical to a situation we had in our street a few months back! Not in a town beginning with letter P by any chance are you?!

PingPages · 25/03/2022 20:01

No idea but placemarking! Grin
