Hey all - We’ve made it to the third thread. Whether you’ve posted before or you’re brand new, if you’re stuck awake, then you’re welcome here. We’ve had people facing it all on the last few threads: grief (loss of DPs, DHs, parents, children, and pets), illness of every sort (cancer, COVID, post COVID, sciatica, antidepressant withdrawals, stomach bugs of every sort, cold/flu, autoimmune problems, and even more diagnoses), ill children and partners (vomiting, crying, unable to sleep… and that’s just the adult family members! Ok I’m kidding, that was mostly the kids), women in labor, women with surgery fears, fears of all other sizes, anxiety, work anxiety, and of course insomnia caused by myriad things (LOTS of peri and postmenopausal insomnia).

Whatever is keeping you awake, you’re always welcome to share it here.

If you’re following in from our last thread, it’s:

Anyone around tonight?

Took yesterday off as was too anxious and hoping with a sleeping tab I’d have a better night tonight but I’ve been asleep and woken with feelings of panic. Trembling legs and sweating. One of my worries was sorted yesterday so was hoping to be more settled tonight.

@5YearsLeft hello it's me! In daylight hours. I'm definitely not a vampire, alien or otherwise 😬

Just saw your post re the trashy book on kindle. Please may I recommend another bit of highly enjoyable frippery on kindle 'cross dressed to kill' by Andrew Lucas. Ludicrous plot, funny and dark.

I'm on HRT now and (together with the occasional diazepam for my bad back) so seem to be sleeping so much better hence my absence in the threads of late.

Hope you are trundling along OK xx

Hello all 👋

catwomando · 28/08/2022 18:52

@Chichimcgee help ! Long tome no speak. How's the flat and the kids ?

5YearsLeft · 06/09/2022 01:43

@catwomando Sorry I didn’t respond. Really haven’t been well at all for about a month so the days and the nights have blended a lot. I’m so glad to hear you’re doing well, and that HRT has helped you with sleep. I’ll definitely look that book up on Kindle, thanks!

In the mean time, here I am awake at stupid ‘o clock again. If anyone else is awake, hope you’re doing okay.

@Flashinggreen And I know it’s obviously much, much later now, but I do hope your bad night passed and that the nights since then have been a bit better. If not, just know you’re not alone.

Hi, I'm so glad to have found this thread. Awake daily from 3am or 4am as my job causes me such anxiety and tummy troubles I just can't sleep. I really need to quit, but I feel like I would be letting the patients and staff down. Just not sure how to carry on with the job, has such impact on me and my family 😢. Hope you all get some rest. I'm getting used to functioning on a few hours

catwomando · 06/09/2022 07:44

@5YearsLeft so,sorry to hear that. Hope you start to come out of that soon 😘
