Ridiculously high heels - Apprentice Final Four

Just watching this week's episode.
Really pleased to see 4 women in the final, but why the heels?
Even Karen is wearing them.
They are bad for your feet, balance and just ridiculous.
My Mum's feet were destroyed by heels in the 60s, and I prioritise walking over heels.

I have to say I don't find vertiginous heels look elegant but it seems to be the go to thing. Perhaps they have read one of those things from the 80s which says taller people get on better in business. But if people like them who am I to say. I do think that skintight pencil dress thing looks outdated as well ( but again ) I would not care for people taking a long hard look at my wardrobe

I do think I remember somewhere that Jaqueline Kennedy had her shoes custom made with a mid height heel ( for public events) because she thought they were more elegant and more practical. OK a while ago
