Just that really. Sociopathic Patel refusing visas. In a time where we need leadership & empathy & intelligence there's a ducking idiot at the helm & Rees~Mogg making a fortune with insider trading.
Who the hell will admit to being so sociopathically selffish & grabby to still vote Tory?

In the meantime all those who go on about Johnson voters can think about what having Corbyn in right now would be like. A dangerous Hamas supporter, his ‘friends’

Pretty sickening to use the current situation to bash Labour. As I said - as if the Tories have no case to answer. Better stick to record and policies - why on earth do you insist on droning on about a previous leader of Labour who was roundly rejected at the ballot box - it's despicable and ridiculous hanging your partisan views to the coat tails of the suffering of (only one side) people in the Middle East at present - you should be ashamed.

Poor old bashed Labour

Poor old Hamas friend Corbyn

Did you vote for him?

As for ‘pretty sick’ you’d better let @Bells3032 know that given it’s her fears

I'm talking about your postings not anyone else's. Using the current situation to try to score political points is a low blow.

Of course you did. You skipped over the real fears because you support Labour enough to do that.

I responded to @Bells3032 because I believe her.

Bells3032 · 11/10/2023 10:40

@Fightyouforthatpie oh stop being rediculous. People are allowed to feel what they feel for or against any party they like whether those feelings may be logical. @MarshaBradyo was being kind to me to saying she understood where my feelings were coming (ones that I feel are very valid cos leaderships can change without election in this country and Corbyn may no longer have a whip but he's still a labour member and there are many others like him). It may not be one you understand but it's one that makes me very anxious and many others in my community share the same feeling. The fact your attacking others for their very valid views does not endear me to the labour party

No worries. I knew it would attract Labour stalwarts on here

But your feelings are valid

Ha at this. Poor old Labour, good thing they have you.

I’m validating posters on mn become too many ignore or dismiss Jewish posters, it’s all over mn in the last few days.

Any post I’ll stand up for as I believe their fears and anxiety.

What do you have to say about the Conservative anti-semites mentioned in the link I posted from Jewish news?
Or are you only interested in fears and anxiety if they are anti-Labour?

Fightyouforthatpie · 11/10/2023 11:32

BTW for the avoidance of doubt - I condemn anti-semitism or any similar form of discrimination unreservedly.

Catza · 11/10/2023 11:38

Scanning the thread, I would imagine people will vote Tory because they don't think any other party will be any better. I don't know if I would agree with the voting for the best worst option. The truth is, Tories have been in power for 13 years and as much as they try to put the blame on Labour, they didn't exactly put their money where their mouth is so far. Giving them another 5 years would be madness. I'd let someone else, almost anyone else have a stab at it. We can always vote them out again at the end of the term. But continuing to vote in the same party despite clear evidence that they can't bring on the positive change is just stupid.

I’m interested in what Jewish posters say yes.

And if that is their fears I believe them. If they post about Labour then that is valid

I didn’t fully recognise it at the time of last GE but I do now.

I want Jewish posters to feel they can write whatever they like without dismissal or being overridden

I am not in the same place with same threats, but I fully see how difficult it must be right now, even in the U.K.

Very interesting that you have no comment about Consevative anti-semites. So you are really only bothered about Labour anti-semites.
As I said, that's a disgusting partisan approach.

Are you Jewish? I’m guessing not, but you are a Labour supporter and I’ve just said I’m interested in views of Jewish posters

What you respond with is predictable as you’re trying to defend your party but it’s not something that overrides @Bells3032 views

I give priority to those experiencing actual anxiety and fears not just party loyalty

I get you need to have your say, but I’m with those needing room to speak.

Well unlike you I am actually not trying to make a party political issue of it. FOr what it's worth I have supported Labour, Greens and Lib Dems at various elections over the years. It's unlikely I'd ever vote Tory.
I don't support anti-semites in (or out of) any party.
I also haven't fallen for your faux caring about Jewish posters more than anyone else. Nothing I have posted seeks to deny any voice to Jewish people.
Your referencing Labour but refusing to condemn Tories for the same crimes makes it very clear what you actually doing - and I see right through your pretence even if others don't.

All this is irrelevant to me.

I responded to a Jewish poster because mn has astounded me over the last few days with dismissal and overriding by non Jewish posters.

I knew it would attract a Labour response as yours and thought fuck it and posted anyway

It’s no where near ‘faux’. Mn has shocked me with its anti semitism and I’ll support where I can. I really don’t want or require your views. Hopefully it can end here as pointless.

I’ll continue to support those I wish to with posts regardless.

Bells3032 · 11/10/2023 11:20

@Fightyouforthatpie and you are not attacking her cos of your rabid hatred for Tory voters?

She won't acknowledge or condemn Conservative anti-semitism, but is very anxious to level that charge at Labour. I don't think it's a great place to be trying to score party political points. I am not attacking the poster - but I don't feel she's being entirely straightforward in failing to show a blanket opposition to anti-semitism in (or out of) any political party.
I fully accept your concern and I haven't sought to gainsay or challenge it - but I am also not trying to use it to make a party political point, as I said, and repeat, anti-semitism is just wrong, whoever does it or endorses it.

MarshaBradyo · 11/10/2023 12:15

’She’ I’m sure you don’t mean to sound so… reporting to a teacher.

@Fightyouforthatpie

I supported a Jewish poster I believe their fears. I didn’t skip over it or dismiss it.

You’ll just have to deal with it. I’ll continue to validate Jewish fears, they absolutely have reason to hold them.

Fightyouforthatpie · 11/10/2023 12:58

I thought you were going to "end it here as it's pointless" - please feel free to add another post about how the only valid fears are your anti-Labour ones, I'll leave you to it now, others can judge.

Well you did keep going on so I responded 🤷‍♂️

I only validate Jewish posters not overly invested Labour ones

Obviously someone who is actually Jewish has more to fear on this and @Bells3032 posted how she felt

I know you are convinced your opinion on what people must or do fear is equally valid but it’s not really relevant

Some people on here, just as in real life, will never criticise their party of choice, no matter what they do.

As you say antisemitism, whether in Labour, the Conservatives or anywhere else is very wrong, as is any racism.

Its good to see that since the dark days of Corbyn, Jewish people who left the Lab party have returned under Starmer.... Luciana Berger's defence of the Lab movement was excellent.
