What is expensive but worth every penny?

Following on from the previous thread about expensive purchases that weren't worth it, what is expensive but actually is worth it? What do you own or have done that is very expensive but you don't regret it at all?

How frequently Botox?

I get my 11s and eyes done…. 3/4x a year

Things you love and things you use that make you feel special.

I agree with Wombat Chocolate. I love my engagement ring - not whopping because DH was poor back then but I have worn it every day for 32 years. On a cost per wear basis it's less than pennies.

I've tried to limit my thread contributions to things rather than services.

Reading threads like this make me realise I have quite simple tastes.

My two dogs.Im absolutely besotted with them.

Bought a leather 3 piece suite mid nineties. Cost £2200 and that was half price in the sale. Still going strong and hopefully will get another 10 at least years by which time we may have to replace depending if we can still get up off it. It's a bit on the low side.
My cashmere hoodies got matching bottoms for £33 in the sale

@Wherearemymarbles - I dream of finding the perfect duvet. I just googled and nearly fell of my chair! And the site I looked at had a sale on.

What an incredibly generous gift.

RosesAndHellebores · 13/02/2022 16:00

Based on the original cost my engagement ring has cost 0.2p per day. Based on current value 0.6p per day. My wedding dress on the other hand was a not overly extravagant £700 - cost per wear £700. Still think it was worth every penny.

@Furries have a look at happy fluffy cloud duvets, although expensive they are seriously a game changer.

VerbenaGirl · 13/02/2022 16:41

Lumea for longer term hair removal, probably paid for itself by now vs waxing and far more convenient.
Nice cheese from our local cheese shop.
Clarins 72hr moisturiser.

@peaceanddove

Having a Shellac manicure every 14 days. Huge indulgence, but I love that my nails always look immaculate.

Microbladed brows done by a true artist (not a beauty therapist who attended a weekend course). I had mine done a few weeks ago and I love, love, love them so much. Defined but incredibly natural looking.

Extended tummy tuck with full muscle repair and liposuction. Cost just over £10K but worth every penny. Went from a bloated, saggy, size 14/16 tummy to a flat, firm neat size 10/12 tummy in just over 5 hours.

Slip pure silk pillowcase - they last much longer than the cheap silk ones off Amazon.

I am planning on getting a tummy tuck before I get married this summer, what's the recovery time like? You really sold me on it with your description

My MacBook Pro. Never had one die (22+yrs later) - they just, finally, become too elderly to take the latest software.

This one is 2015, still going strong with the latest OS.

Honestly any of them, I have a mini set of 4 and they're all divine. The crème brûlée one ever so slightly less than the others but they're all amazing!!
