Following on from the previous thread about expensive purchases that weren't worth it, what is expensive but actually is worth it? What do you own or have done that is very expensive but you don't regret it at all?

I was thinking about very ££ that I want but I risk disappointment if they turn out to be meh

Ive just ordered some Revitabrow , it does work really well on my brows .
I have a KitchenAid food processor ( I think it's the mid sized one ) love it . But I haven't got , nor do I need a KitchenAid mixer

I keep thinking about a soup maker but I'd need one that sautes and as I slow cook soup (or use the pressure cooker ) how nice can it be in 30 minutes ? And I don't have the room for one anyway )

Rolex watch which was a gift from my DH. I wear it every day, even with my cheapie dresses from Sainsbury. (I grew up in a post war prefab so to own one feels special.)
That and my lovely window shutters.

Business class flights to Australia. Actually we usually only book business class for the return journey as we can’t afford both ways.

Weekly cleaner. Life-changing.

Wonderful, memorable family holiday that will be remembered by everyone in the teenage years before they fly the nest.

Education.

Medical treatment paid for privately when required to avoid the NHS massive queue, giving peace of mind .

Brora cashmere. I love it

Not really expensive - but our cleaner is worth every penny.

My rescue animals - cost a small fortune, but knowing they have the most amazing forever home makes it worth it. We have 11 at the moment, but also lost 5 others over the past few years. Probably spend £250 a month on them on average, but month to month is highly dependent on how many vet trips we take.

peaceanddove · 13/02/2022 15:15

Having a Shellac manicure every 14 days. Huge indulgence, but I love that my nails always look immaculate.

Microbladed brows done by a true artist (not a beauty therapist who attended a weekend course). I had mine done a few weeks ago and I love, love, love them so much. Defined but incredibly natural looking.

Extended tummy tuck with full muscle repair and liposuction. Cost just over £10K but worth every penny. Went from a bloated, saggy, size 14/16 tummy to a flat, firm neat size 10/12 tummy in just over 5 hours.

Slip pure silk pillowcase - they last much longer than the cheap silk ones off Amazon.

Private midwives (paid for by my firm) for both DC - meant they came to me in the evenings.

My housekeeper

Brora cashmere

Laudree raspberry macarons (and the packaging is lovely so I keep it to store bits and pieces in)

Private health insurance - my DC have made sure we get our money's worth over the years

Our club - it actually costs less than some fancy London gyms, has a lovely gym and pool with a club attached and DC have been able to go there with friends since they were 14.
