What is expensive but worth every penny?

Following on from the previous thread about expensive purchases that weren't worth it, what is expensive but actually is worth it? What do you own or have done that is very expensive but you don't regret it at all?

@Synchrony

Made-to-measure knee high boots. The only ones I've ever had that fit well. I wear them nearly every day.

I spent a silly amount on an ice-cream scoop after a supermarket one broke the first time I used it. It sparks joy when I use it!

Miele hoover. Sooo much better than the useless Dyson.

I actually think my wedding was worth the money. Priceless memories of all my loved ones together that will probably never happen again.

Thought I was the only one that thinks Dyson is a bit meh compared to Miele.

It's handy for zooming around the house but definitely consider Miele to be the big guns.

@supermoonrising

Independent midwives for DCs 2 & 3. Floris perfume.

How do you stipulate what perfume they wear? Couldn’t you have just lit one of those fancy candles?

Is the poster not saying she had private midwifery care for her second and third children?

@HaveringWavering

Well I have bought RDJs autograph but I am still waiting for it to be shipped from the USA, it cost £861 in total, I pre ordered it in september, he was doing loads of signings and the money goes to The Footprint Coalition (his charity thing that gives cash to green start up companies).

Robert Downey Junior?! You paid £861 for an actor to write his name on a piece of paper and you weren’t even there at the time?!
I always thought the point of autographs was to prove you met someone!

I doubt I will ever get to meet him, this is the nearest I will probably ever get, having something he touched, I would happily buy a movie prop he used if I had the money too.
