Abit outing but nevermind
I've been bidding for a property thur council for nearly 8years. I'm sharing a room with 2 children(6 &8) eldest(14) has own room.
I'm currently 2nd on 3 properties never ever been so close.
Aibu- to actually stand a chance I can't sleep with thinking!
Ainbu- not 1st probably won't happen.

Ahh thank you all for your best wishes, I'm still 3rd it closes tonight at midnight.
My council works on if I don't hear anything after 72hrs I haven't won sooo we will wait and see. Can't see it happening now 3rd is good way better than where I normally am so fingers crossed 🤞🤞must remain calm next time and not start looking at sofas and paint 🙈

Ours says the same yet on our local housing group not a single person has heard within 72 hours!

Hi , last week I was number 4 on a property and received a call a couple of days after the bidding closed to say I had been shortlisted. I am not going ahead with it for other reasons but just thought I’d let you know it’s possible . And hopefully for you if not this time then it will be your turn soon . Good luck !

Could you help me understand the way it Is done, I know its different in different areas but like i mentioned I saw the successful bidders list for the past 2 years, someone joined the list in the same band has me and had a house after 3 weeks!! The council said it could of been a numerous reasons like homelessness etc but surely that is what the band 1 is for? (I am band 2)
My reply ……
In my local authority it’s all allocated in band order and the date you got the band . So you could be a B band from , just say 22/2/20. And an A from yesterday would be above you. And a B from 23/2/20 would be behind you. UNLESS. The house has been specially adapted for disabled. Then the adaptations are matched to the applicants needs and it’s all done via the Occupational Therapist

Mine works in bands but there's band 1 which is priority, band 2 what I am in and band 3. Hence me not understand how a homeless person can be in the same band has me has they will be in band 1...

Homeless can be designated priority and non priority. So not all will be in the very highest priority. If you want clarification why don’t you ask them to explain it to you. I’m sure that would ease your mind. Good luck.
