How many takeaways?!

I'm wondering if my husband and I are over indulging and it would be good to know if we are normal or not

How many takeaways do you and your DP (not DC) have per week / month? 🤫

Once a month max, usually not even that tbh. Always feel underwhelmed by them.

Totally agree. The thought is always better than the reality.

Birthdays only here.

The people over the road get them 2-3 times a week and don't have outside lights or very big house numbers so we get bothered by their delivery drivers though. Which is all the hassle and none of the food.

At least once a week, sometimes twice. I'm not giving it up as I'm busy with young kids and don't get much of a social life so it's my one indulgence.

1 every 1-2 weeks usually. Used to be every week but got too expensive! I don't include lunches in that though as dh buys lunch everyday (pisses me off tbh)

Maybe once a month. We tend to eat out as a treat more than get takeaways

Usually once a week... Sometimes more.
Life is hard at the moment with a toddler and both of us working full time. We are trying to get the house ready for sale and constantly dead tired from doing chores and stuff.

My husband is also doing a lot of work to get a promotion so he is always flat out.

Depends, I've had 3 in a week if I'm low or poorly or suffering with exhaustion or pmdd, can easily go for weeks without any though.

Most Saturday nights - rotate between pizza Chinese or chipper. We cook every other day. Now when we get a chipper say, its one bag of chips between us and burger each or a large curry between us. So to me were not bad. Some weeks if we are really tired or its been a long day we do get a takeaway but thats like once every two or three months

We don't get them very often, usually just for birthdays and the odd occasion when there's nothing in the house to cook after a long day etc! We don't have a great deal of takeaways locally, most of them are crap and none of them deliver to us so we have to go and collect!

When we lived in a northern town there were so many more takeaway restaurants, more choice available and it was mostly all really nice and we could get it delivered, back then we probably had one once a week!

Once every 2nd month maybe. I just can't justify the cost, they are so expensive! It's a big treat for us. An Indian for the two of us costs just shy of £30. When a week's shop costs us £70 it feels outrageous to spend that on one meal (although normally have enough for lunch the next day)

we probably eat out once or twice a month though. We're really near lots of great restaurants though, and going out feels like much more of a treat for not much more money.

I'm always amazed by how frequently people.get takeaways! We get them probably once a year, if that. I'm always underwhelmed by the food and can make nicer myself so we just don't tend to bother.

When I lived in the city centre, I almost exclusively ate out/picked up food on way home. That was before kids.

Now I live in a tiny little town in the arse end of nowhere with terrible take away. So never really. We do go out to eat a couple times a month though (I'm a single parent so that's me and the kids. Wouldnt do that without them unless with friends but dont think that really counts.)

None. That might skew the overall stats though!

We're big pizza fans and have an amazing Thai down the road so it's hard to resist.

Probably once or twice a month. Mostly on evenings where we've forgotten to get anything out/plan anything for dinner in advance, and we're too knackered to think dinner through.
