I first heard it on the radio when Rooney made the accusation. I was driving and heard "Footballer's wife Coleen Rooney has..." and automatically tuned out. Then I heard "Wagatha Christie", which brought me right back to focus. But by then the newsbite had finished, so I had to look it up later.

It was soooooo worth it.

For what it's worth, my nephew plays in the same kiddy football league as one of the Rooney boys, as do several other famous players. My BIL said that he's very good with all the kids, good at discipline with his own, and very nice to the understandably highly excited little boys who meet him, whilst other players are more stand offish.

I certainly wouldn't marry him, but if I were married with four kids to a very rich and excellent father, I'd not be super eager to jump ship when I could live a nice life with my family (which for Coleen, includes her disabled sister), rather than introduce disruption to everyone's lives.

But then if I became single now, in my childless and average income family, I wouldn't be jumping at the bit to form a relationship either - I'd be quite excited about the free time obtained from not being in a relationship! So I can well see that she might make the choice that her material circumstances are more important than her marital status.

Not saying that's ok, just thinking whether that would make staying with him easier.

Yes, as far as we know he has never had a long-term affair. It all appears to have been prostitutes. There have been no reports of him cheating since 2010, which is two years after they married. Of course, there may be things we don't know about.

Someone else mentioned that RV is worth about 3 million.

Sorry to bring the mood down but that has properly depressed me. I hate my job. Am married to a lovely man, but he is not a huge earner. I have no choice but to fucking carry on getting up every morning and working my arse off for 12 hours for just enough.

One thing I've been wondering is whether the evidence that comes to light in the case will damage Vardy's reputation to such a significant degree that if she wins she will receive much reduced, or even nominal, damages. Or are damages based upon the reputation that she held before the case started?

If you were importing evidence over to provide to your solicitor & you accidentally delete all the images and some texts don't worry Rebekah I can help you!! - just go to any of the last 3 WhatsApp back ups you have and hit restore. Voila !

Now hand it over to your legal team. I'm sure they have IT proficient professionals that can download what the court requested you disclose very easily for you

Also, your PR person can be reassured that her WhatsApps will equally have been backed up. She can buy any new phone, order new sim and PAC code it over to her old number (since it's sleeping with the fishes) that lets her log back into her WhatsApp account and voila she can also hit restore on WhatsApp! She can recover what the court ordered her disclose too.

All those messages can come back & be given to court!

That is probably the least damning thing she’s said. I don’t know how but I bet the lost messages are even more incriminating.

If the individuals concerned have a Google Drive account then yes, WhatsApp data is backed up. Since an IT expert has been unable to recover full data, I can only assume backups were disabled or have been deleted.

It is Vardy that would be ordered but there is no need to for a separate order if she has already been ordered to disclose this information. She is required to make best efforts to recover everything that has been lost. And we know she has engaged an IT expert who has expressed surprise that he hasn't been able to recover anything.

Whether the court ordered it or not, in a civil case you are required to hand over anything requested by the other side (unless you can convince the court it is irrelevant) regardless of whether it helps or hinders your case. Indeed, you are especially required to hand over anything that damages your case.

Yes I know that!!! My post was sarcastic.

Of course there is WhatsApp backup and iCloud or Google drive backup to their information on laptops, iPads and mobile phones including WhatsApp messages and images. That RV wants court to believe each of those devices failed independently and recently. And that their backups are strangely empty- (the only reason that's not available is because backups were disabled and deleted).

The fact an IT expert cannot recover it on any of those devices is another stretch to believe

It goes to credibility.
