I know it’s been done before but I’d love a slightly different spin on it.

You win the euromillions tonight. The rest of the night will be a blur.

You wake up tomorrow morning - what’s the VERY first thing you do?

No “I’d start a charity” or “I’d set up a dog rescue” etc etc as you wouldn’t do that TOMORROW - what would you do tomorrow?

Personally I’d just go shopping, buy loads of clothes, trainers etc (not designer as I’m not into that shit) have a nice lunch somewhere … go home and start looking on Right Move

I would contact family and invite them all to a fancy lunch in London and offer to pay their fares.

Then I would look around kitchen showrooms. Our kitchen is in dire need of updating.

Popstarrrrr · 04/02/2022 18:40

Book a flight. I require powder white sand, turquoise waters and a cocktail to do any complicated thinking. And yes, spending my millions is complicated thinking.

hedgehogger1 · 04/02/2022 18:51

I'd look up some numbers for decorators. My house really needs a complete repaint but I'm too lazy to do it

SagelyNodding · 04/02/2022 18:53

I think about this far too much!

That first day, so waaaay before the money hits my bank account I think I would just start looking for the perfect house online, then research a luxury world tour kind of holiday.
I'd blow what little money I have in savings on a nice haircut and some new non-sale clothes for me and my DC.
Then start picking out 2 cars - a range rover sport thing and something convertible (yes, I'm a dick Grin )
I love love love my job, but I would try to get a sabbatical for a year or so and drop down to like 9-ish hours a week. DH would be able to immediately quit his job -he'd be delighted!
Would you tell anyone? Everyone? I'm fairly sure people would guess with the radical lifestyle changes, especially as we wouldn't move far from our current location and close friends!

Hendalle · 04/02/2022 18:55

Well the first thing I’d do is walk my dog like every day.. then the fun would begin. First off I would book flights to New Zealand for my sisters wedding in October - first class of course and I’d be choosey about the airline Grin

Then as I am a boring bugger, I’d sew the blouse I’m planning to make tomorrow and go out for a champagne fueled lunch!

Then in the afternoon I’d be perusing right move in earnest Grin

Notimeforaname · 04/02/2022 18:57

Like most I'd book more holidays.

I'd book holidays for my nearest and dearest.

Then I'd get to hiring a personal assistant to look up all the other things I'd want to sort.

I'd still go to my 19 hour per week job for now but would hire a chauffeur to take me in from Monday.

I'd donate a large portion to the charity organisation I work for so they wouldn't care so much about my constant time off for holidays

Assistant would be booking all the things I'm interested in and hooking me up with the appropriate financial planners/banks/estate agents etc

Feedmepancakes · 04/02/2022 19:03

Well assuming I had to wait a while for the money to actually hit my account, I think I would call in sick to work and get in touch with a financial advisor first of all.

After that I'd head out somewhere nice for lunch and start browsing the property websites looking for my new dream house.

nzborn · 04/02/2022 19:26

buy all the kids houses

PrincessPaws · 04/02/2022 19:41

Call Camelot, get it all confirmed. Then I would sit back and get over my shock until the money was in the bank!

TroysMammy · 04/02/2022 19:49

Well I wouldn't be going to Tesco that's a fact. If my DP gets on my tits by tomorrow morning I'll be down the Estate Agents first thing buying him his own house so I can live in mine in peace.

I'd then make a list. I love a list.

waterlego · 04/02/2022 19:52

I’d book several holidays, including a very posh European AI for the summer hols, a Moroccan villa with a chef for Oct half term and a ski trip for next winter. Then I’d go for a posh and probably rather boozy lunch. Not bothered about going shopping but I might buy some trainers, boots and Birkenstocks online.

CaptainThe95thRifles · 04/02/2022 19:59

Find myself a nice shiny new pick up truck for me. Order some nice shiny new transport for the horses. I'd book a few outings with my horses to do fun things and spend the rest of the day riding, take the dogs somewhere fun for a walk and then go somewhere bloody nice for food in the evening.

And book tickets to some comedy / theatre / fun stuff and start shopping for the dog's bollocks of an equestrian property. Holidays can wait until I have the horses installed in their new custom designed track system at home Grin

duvetdayforeveryone · 04/02/2022 20:03

I'd go on Excel and make a spreadsheet. I'd list all the people I know that need money. I would then divide all the money up, also ensuring we had enough to live off in our old age. Any money left over would then go to charity, starting with The Trussell Trust.
All I need is a roof over my head and food in my belly, and the people I would help don't regularly have that :(

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 04/02/2022 20:06

Definetly start with a spreadsheet! I may even prepare a template on a quiet day with %s against people so when I win the big bucks I can drop the amount in the top and it will just auto fill Grin

FinallyHere · 04/02/2022 20:27

What car would everyone get

I wouldn't ever buy another car, I wouldn't need one. I'd have a contract with a car service, so that when I am in the Uk there would always be a car sitting outside wherever I am, ready to take me anywhere, fetch people and things.

It would probably take three people, each doing eight hour shifts. Bliss

dizzydizzydizzy · 04/02/2022 22:20

Relax. Lack of money causes a lot of stress.

I'd give all my family some so they could pay their mortgages off. Then I'd employ a travel agent to organise an amazing holiday for all of us.

Mostlyjustrunning · 04/02/2022 22:22

But how quickly do you get the money? Because unless it is very quickly I’d still be too skint to do anything tomorrow…

OMG12 · 04/02/2022 22:29

Browse MA courses, browse rightmove. Decide on cover story for change of life

thenightsky · 04/02/2022 22:30

I'd go into work, but just a little bit late. I'd also leave a little bit early. I'd increase that by 2 mins each day until someone said something (bet it would take ages).
Then, when it finally went to a disciplinary months down the line, I'd say 'fuck yer job'.

Well I can dream can't I? Grin

Westerman · 04/02/2022 22:32

I'd book an immediate holiday. Somewhere gloriously sunny & warm. For at least a month. And use that time to ponder what to do with my millions!

Nc123 · 04/02/2022 22:33

I’d draft my resignation letter and start looking on rightmove, and I’d have a lazy brunch day tomorrow.
Furbulousnous · 04/02/2022 22:42

go see the Lottery people with my passport I guess, then speak with the finance people they hook you up with...

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 04/02/2022 22:44

I'd ring the estate agents to view this house

It's about 10 miles away so still local for family etc.

If I'd win £109.9m I wouldn't eve bother viewing it, it's gorgeous
lsjdkviwworin · 04/02/2022 22:49

Sorry have had a wine.

If I had won the £109.9m I wouldn't even view it - It would be off the market by the morning and my solicitor could sort it out while I'm in the Maldives.

Gorgeous house.
