I want an affordable hard back A3 notebook with lined paper that is thick enough to write on both sides. It needs a pen holder. Not too thick or thin and not spiral bound. Not ugly.
I've been looking for months and can I find one?!

What things are you searching for that really shouldn't be this hard to find?

@Puffalicious pricey for what it is though!

@Ericaequites equally there's a fair few of us are short and fat - not "petite" in all ways!

Mia Tui bags. They always have an interior view. I have to sit on my hands to avoid buying more.

Cultpens is good for stationery of all kinds. (But it’s not known as crack pens in my house for nothing)

Oh yes. I sit on my haands with this website, too. I currently have 6 fountain pens all taking different colours (Diamine inks have so many colours..) ranging from £10 to £70 in price. And use them everyday.

I think £25-35 for a white shirt is very, very reasonable indeed!

Not from my POV.

Single parent, 2 DC and no money from their dad as he's dead. I'm working on bettering my job prospects, but my wage is still below national average.

Chocolate m&M's.......can't find them anywhere. The brownie ones are shit as are the crispy ones. I just want to be able to mix my peanut ones with the chocolate ones again!
Costco!!! 1kg for £4.86 inc vat.

I'm so sorry to hear your situation. I was just replying to a PP who asked for suggestions for a white shirt- no price stated. It wasn't a personal slight. Sorry if you found it flippant. But for me, they're good quality and worth the price. People pay lots, lots more.

@Echobelly, I believe the PO is trying to get this established. My PO closed due to retirement a few years ago and reopened in a petrol station, and is now open until
10pm. It’s marvellous.,

Asda had a toaster that takes proper sized bread. We bought 1 a few years ago, and it's just fantastic

I wish there was a jack type thing, light,
easily stored, that I could lift the side of my ton weight mattress when I'm trying to change the sheets. Kills my wrists!

muddyboots · 31/01/2022 23:47

A grate for our open fire that lasts longer than two years before it disintegrates. Apparently they're all made from cheap Chinese metal and you can't pay more for quality.

@EffortsToBuild

I want an A5 notebook with very good quality paper (preferably cream coloured) and removable pages - which won't make the book look a mess. I've started using a lovely fountain pen and it deserves a beautiful book to write in. I can find nice notebooks but pages can't be removed and I can find spiral bound/removable pages but poor quality paper. I just can't find both.
Have you tried Black and Red notebooks. Some have a perforated margin for easy removal of pages.

@HairyScaryMonster

A Netflix or similar account that supplies the shows that sit in the centre of the Venn diagram of two people's interests. I spend far to long looking on mine or DH's profile for something we might both enjoy.
What a brilliant idea.

A book case that is big enough to fit in my alcove. All the ones I can find are too small. But if I put two side-by-side, that's too big.
I know, I need to find a carpenter and pay them to put up some kind of made-to-measure shelving unit (I live in an old house with horse-hair plaster walls, so it isn't as simple as putting up shelves myself...).
So tired of having boxes of books all over the floor. But not looking forward to find a trades-person and then paying a fortune...

Ericaequites · 01/02/2022 03:09

In the States finding petite plus size clothes is relatively easier. Talbots has a good selection, for example.

A decent box of tissues -that when you pull one they don't all come out. or come out as a huge clump -just want one at a time!
I need this too. I hate the waste of pulling out excess tissues. I think it's because they're stacked in so tightly.

A non-corner desk that has enough room for a notepad (that you write on), keyboard, monitor and mouse so you can type then write comfortably.

The only one I could fine was IKEA.

Yes, this. I have a cute handbag with music notes on it, but there's hardly any space inside, and I wouldn't have got it if I'd known.

A fucking vinegar shaker. They don't exist here in NZ! My fish and chips are swimming in vinegar as I have to daintily slosh it from a litre bottle!

Have you looked on amazon? Amazon.co.uk have them, I don't know if yours does.
Chesneyhawkes1 · 01/02/2022 08:39

@FFSjustLTB Decathlon trail shorts are like this. They do baggy shorts, tight shorts and a capri.

Front zip pocket for keys and big rear zip pocket that takes your phone. Then little gel pockets too

Bigassbeebuzzbuzz · 01/02/2022 08:51

Duvet covers that are poppers why dont they write it on the packaging?
Websites searched ALWAYS showing most relevant instead of price.
Tradesman to come quote or when they have quoted and I've decided to use them come and do the job!
Yes to a toaster that toasts all the bread I know pp have said turn it sideways but should a toaster not just take toast normally?
Red bed sheet. Ds2 is down to one but do you think I can find a dark red one. They are all bright red.
Gelatin is there a world shortage atm? Every supermarket has an empty space where it should be.
Decent mince. Had a pop up butcher come to our market during lockdown and his mince was amazing. Tried every other butcher in town but it just tastes bland.
