I want an affordable hard back A3 notebook with lined paper that is thick enough to write on both sides. It needs a pen holder. Not too thick or thin and not spiral bound. Not ugly.
I've been looking for months and can I find one?!

What things are you searching for that really shouldn't be this hard to find?

@Dandelionflower

A toaster that can toast a whole slice of normal sized bread.
Breville do a Deep Edge Chassis toaster which does a whole slice, even a tall one. Recommend!

@RumJerrySailorRum

Thank you weirdlykind, I don't have one nearby but will look out for one on my travels and see if they have any.

(I tried aldis own brand, but they were disappointingly nothing like)

Asda also has them for grocery delivery (and they're on amazon 😁)

Tin foil. Where the bleddy heck has all the tin foil gone?!

HugeAckmansWife · 30/01/2022 16:41

a plain black girls swimming costume - even amazon has slim pickings. Nothing is in stock in the right size. The supermarkets just look at me when I ask them -"no, only in summer" FFS - swimming lessons happen all year round and DD needs plain black. She's a rule follower so won't go with mostly black.

Sports Direct is where I've mostly found them.

neverbeenskiing · 30/01/2022 16:49

Lately, tops and dresses that don't have puffed sleeves. When did puffed sleeves become the default??

Have you tried turning your bread sideways? Gamechanger, I'm not kidding.

Oh god yes. And down with frills and fucking piecrust collars, I do NOT want to look like an Edwardian schoolmistress.
SniffMyFeet · 30/01/2022 16:53

A petticoat that comes to above your knees
They are all a standard length now

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 30/01/2022 16:54

It’s a bit niche, but I want a good history book, covering the Stuart and Georgian periods. There are millions about the Wars of the Roses and the Tudors, and a good number about Victoria and the history of Britain during her reign, but there seem to be very few written about the monarchs in between the Tudors and Victoria.

greenlynx · 30/01/2022 16:57

A normal, not oversized girls jumper which is made of at least 50% of cotton ( and not black)

Livinglavidalockdown · 30/01/2022 17:00

Normal 7up. Can only find the sugar free variety.
Have resorted to buying off Amazon and even they don't always have it in stock.

AllThingsServeTheBeam · 30/01/2022 17:02

@WeirdlyKind

My cheapy toaster takes a full slice of bread - the trick is to lay in in sideways!
Aren't you meant to put it in sideways?!
PattyPan · 30/01/2022 17:05

Potato cakes, haven’t been able to get hold of them for months for some reason

VelvetChairGirl · 30/01/2022 17:07
