Driving the wrong way down a one way street? (Diagram)

NC for this as I'm embarrassed if I'm driving the wrong way down a one way street every day.

The attached road sign is what the angry drivers see when I am coming the other way. They wind their windows down and yell at me that it's a one way street. This happens most days.

I think the sign means they need to turn left at the top of the street and the street itself isn't one way.

There isn't a no entry ⛔️ sign when I drive from my house and down this street.

AIBU to drive this way? I've been shouted and sworn at so many times I'm starting to think the sign must mean the street is one way.

That's great news! I would assume the same as you - because otherwise there should be a no entry sign on your left turn.

Can't believe people on this thread who actually drive on that road said you were unreasonable and should not be driving that way. How embarrassing for them 😆

It has definitely cheered me up. He said it would take about 2 weeks, I've been driving along that street and getting shouted at for 7 years. Glad I got the advice of MN, thanks all.

I'll be impressed if it does indeed appear in 2 weeks. Our council are still working on road projects that were meant to be completed by 2009 😆, you'd be getting screamed at for another 7 years if you were here.

I think the fact that it was changed swiftly shows that the council engineers had an 'oops' moment and corrected it before it went viral.

Oh, and enjoy pointing out the sign to anyone who dares berate you for driving the 'wrong way' haha.
