She is not a very good influence on him is she.

Blossomtoes · 24/01/2022 20:56

@Viviennemary

She is not a very good influence on him is she.
It seems unlikely that he chose her for her moral compass, don’t you think?
jgw1 · 24/01/2022 20:57

At least he has supplied the opportunity for teachers across the land to spend tomorrow morning having their children writing letters to the Prime Minister explaining why they missed their birthday party in 2020, who they would have invited if they could, the games they would have played and so on.

LexMitior · 24/01/2022 20:57

@Viviennemary

She is not a very good influence on him is she.
By all accounts she's at least one of several so perhaps she's not so bothered. Would explain the handsome advisers
powershowerforanhour · 24/01/2022 20:58

"I wouldn’t be remotely surprised if someone is waiting for Sue Gray’s report to say not much, waiting for Johnson to say “see, it’s all fine, nothing to see here, no rules were broken” and then playing a trump card."

What's the trump card? My money is on video footage of him riding some young one he's given a job and/or taxpayers' money to, on the day Wilf was born. With someone so stupid, arrogant and sexually incontinent, Cummings or whoever could have set a honey trap as easy as you like then sat on the evidence till it suits to release it. It's probably the first thing I would have done if I was Cummings.

MarshaBradyo · 24/01/2022 20:58

@Alexandra2001

Marsha The loans scandal is down to Sunak but do we really want a PM attempting to deal with the huge issues of the day who cannot or will not obey the laws he helped set and lectured us on?

I don't care about Cummings or where this information is coming from, what matters is if its true and so far, almost all of it is.

People suffered terribly under these LD's but not Boris, oh no, he was above it all, no need for him to take any notice of the law.

...and before you say, no i don't believe he was particular poorly with CV, he got the treatments me or you would never had got.

That’s fair enough if it’s no interest to people, I can understand that

I find campaigns etc interesting as close to old work and find the background stuff interesting

I wasn’t going to say anything about treatment ;

User135644 · 24/01/2022 20:59

@BringBackCoffeeCreams

What's really got to me is that today they were laughing about 'partygate' on my local radio station. Properly ripping the piss about it. I'm not in the UK. This is what this fuckwit had done to the UK. Moved it from the 'respectable, decent country' box into the 'Berlasconi Bunga Bunga party ' box. And that was before the news of these two new parties broke.
This is what people voted for. They knew what he was like.

You get what you vote for.

Borisconi

Roussette · 24/01/2022 21:02

You get what you vote for

And if you didn't?

18million or thereabouts didn't

FurbleSocks · 24/01/2022 21:02

*This is what people voted for. They knew what he was like.

@User135644 absolutely

This hasn't shown him to be anything other than what he's always been. A morally bankrupt, self serving liar.

Where's Clav?

I have already posted up thread about ITV getting their dates mixed up.

Do you think this Labour MP broke the rules on 10 May 2020? I value your opinion -

[Labour MP Kevan Jones] said he was invited to an outdoor celebration, organised by the community, for Frederick Herron’s 100th in Quaking Houses, County Durham, on May 10.

People were meant to join in from their own property, but bad weather meant the party was brought inside at short notice...

You are Michael Fabricunt and I claim my £5.

Honestly, there’s defending the indefensible, and then there’s this. Talk about Whataboutism in the extreme.

The Prime Minister of our country has repeatedly lied to the people, deliberately misled Parliament and partied whilst we buried our loved ones. His moral authority is gone, his ability to govern is gone. If he doesn’t go, what little respect remains for democracy and the rule of law will also be gone.

He’s an embarrassment.

OhWhyNot · 24/01/2022 21:03

Viviennemary he was married to a very intelligent successful mature woman

He still did just as he pleased. She may have not arranged a surprise party for him but he wouldn’t have been a better PM married to his ex just the blame wouldn’t be so easy to place on her Carrie is an easy target

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 24/01/2022 21:08

@LexMitior

Borisconi
Excellent

and if you didn't

You still live in a country that did.

ImJustMadAboutSaffron · 24/01/2022 21:10

Meanwhile my friend died, alone, on 15 June, four days before Boris's birthday and we were not allowed to go to her funeral. And FWIW she was messed around with treatment for a brain tumour with cancelled appointments etc.

I would love five minutes with Boris Johnson. Preferably in my kitchen. I have lots of very sharp Sabatiers.

Wonnle · 24/01/2022 21:10

@pussycatunpickingcrossesagain

Boris had hopes of being remembered as a Churchill style character

Yeah, a bloody dog humping your leg.

Has he taken money for influence now as well then ?
Simonjt · 24/01/2022 21:11

It wasn’t a birthday party, they were just trying to branch out as the powerpoints were getting a bit boring.

And don't I know it.... more the shame

jgw1 · 24/01/2022 21:12

You are Michael Fabricunt and I claim my £5.

Am I the only one who is waiting eagerly for the next utterance from the great brain of Michael Fabricant?

So far in the last week, we've had, but whips have tried to blackmail me lots of times, and Ghani doesn't look like a Muslim.

StrychnineInTheSandwiches · 24/01/2022 21:13

I was wondering what that crackling noise on the thread was. It's the static from Fabricant's wig.

I can’t wait! Although I do feel really sorry for the guys at Private Eye, he’s putting them out of business because no matter how good their satire it’ll never be as ridiculous as what comes out from under his wig!
DGRossetti · 24/01/2022 21:18

I wonder if this party will be covered in the Graywash ?

If not, that report - or what we are allowed to see of it - is already flawed.

JugglingJanuary · 24/01/2022 21:18

@neverbeenskiing

He is an embarrassment and he needs to go. But when he does what fresh hell awaits us...Liz Truss? Jeremy Hunt? Priti Patel? Dominic Raab? There is no one in the whole rotten government who is fit to govern.
It's enough to make you think 'better the devil you know'
Reallycantbesarsed · 24/01/2022 21:19

@TerraNovaTwo

While little children, some older children, had their birthday party plans RUINED!

Despicable prick!

Exactly…my son spent his 21st a year ago today stuck at home with the odd friend calling by and standing on the pavement wishing him a happy birthday…am fucking furious ! I know it’s small fry for people who couldn’t attend funerals etc but from our families point of view this latest news has really massively pissed me off…this arsehole needs to go ASAP!!
