To think this dessert was a bjt

We went to OH’s friend’s house last night for a meal. They went into the kitchen and brought out dessert. They had bitten the heads off hollow chocolate rabbits, filled them with Baileys, put squirty cream on top and were pretty pleased with themselves, let me tell you. I looked around for something else and they said that I’d reminded them that they’d forgotten something. I hoped it was a cheesecake but no, they came back with indoor sparklers which took a faff to light, then the cream melted and the sparklers melted the chocolate and I had a plate of mess.

OH and I are still confused about this. AIBU to think cheesecake would have been easier?

I can’t think about Boris Johnson’s testicles on a Sunday! 😳🤢……… now talk to me about Lemon Meringue and we’re in business!

P.s the dessert sounds grim but each to their own 😂

I suppose if the sparklers really were that hot, they'd have destroyed any covid particles on the slavered-over chocolate anyway so the cries of "won't someone think of the pandemic" are a bit misplaced.

(The sparklers weren't that hot, the heads were surely not literally bitten off...)

I think they sound nice. Obviously the heads weren't really bitten off.
Not a massive fan of squirty cream but still would have ate them and certainly not looked around for a dessert more suited to my tastes!
I expect the heads were kept for the hosts to eat after the guests went home!

Wouldn't be high on my list of top desserts, but it must have been a talking point, given the length of this thread!

As a dessert in someone’s house it’s fine. I quite like the Lindt chocolate rabbits. It’s really rude to be looking for something else instead though.
