Ten minutes. I mean I thought you were all stretching it with the 25mins bash but now we have a 10 minute partyyyyyyyy Confused.

Flowertailbird · 24/01/2022 19:30

@JaniieJones

Oh so what. As someone on twitter said "So, when people in an office buy a cake in the middle of the afternoon for someone else they are working in the office with and stop for ten minutes to sing happy birthday and then go back to their desks, this is now called a party?"

Honestly that Paul Brand and his half arsed 'scoops' 🙄

Oh dear. Some people do still believe the emperor has clothes.
Blossomtoes · 24/01/2022 19:32

It was my bloke’s birthday the day after. There were just the two us. No cake and - more importantly - no hugs from his kids. And Johnson has a fucking party. Incredible.

There is literally nothing Boris could do that you wouldn't excuse is there?

@JaniieJones 'Someone on Twitter'?! It was Nadine Dorries and you know it :)

Oof, that is weak.

For a start, Carrie arranged the gathering. There was picnic food. The wallpaper woman was there. If those things are true, it was a bit more than a quick workplace gathering to sing Happy Birthday and grab a slice of cake before going back to desks.

Johnson is finished.

So what @JaniieJones! You deingrate what so many people have personally sacrificed during lockdown.

Shame on you.

I understand your perspectives and frustrations, but at the same time, it's slightly different in regards to them being colleagues.
ClaudineClare · 24/01/2022 19:38

Who need enemies when you have Nadine Dorries and Michael Fabricant defending you? Wink

If he went for 10 minutes he would have had lots of time to remind the partygoers of the laws.

I wonder if SG has access to the cameras outside No 11 flat so she can confirm whether a second birthday party occurred on 19/6.

ClaudineClare · 24/01/2022 19:40

Hawkins001 so you know exactly who was there? Is the wallpaper woman a colleague?

OP posts:
DuncinToffee · 24/01/2022 19:43

Lulu Lytle, she of wallpaper fame, was there but not invited to the party, just waiting to speak to Johnson according to her spokesperson.

SueSaid · 24/01/2022 19:43

'There is literally nothing Boris could do that you wouldn't excuse is there?'

Yes there is. If we find out he had a party in his flat I certainly wouldn't excuse that.

How many children did not have cake with their friends at that time?

And yet Big Baby had to.

'If he went for 10 minutes he would have had lots of time to remind the partygoers of the laws.'

It was a cake in an office. These definitions of parties are getting more tenuous by the day. 'Partygoers' I mean, seriously.

Hawkins001 · 24/01/2022 19:49

From now on, should cake and refreshments during a break in the day,.be considered a party ? And why ?

Piggywaspushed · 24/01/2022 19:49

someone on Twitter was the ever delightful Nadine Dorries.

It's quite possible, who's to say ?

Ah so that’s where we went wrong - we should have invited all his colleagues round for cake. Stupid us.

Well as long as the man baby enjoyed his cake and his singalong then what does it matter eh? Good for him. He's worth it. Our great leader.

I hope Colin the Caterpillar is next on Sue Gray's interrogation list and I hope he squeals.

Um, have you considered that the person claiming it only lasted 10 minutes - being the person who was breaking the rules and is trying to keep his job - might possibly not be the most credible source for you to be hanging this argument on?
