To feel that these lines are too severe for my age

I am sorry in advance if this offends anyone, I hope not

I'm 30, 31 in a couple of months and I'm pretty unhappy with the lines around my eyes and dark circles.

I've never smoked, don't drink at all, use retinol, moisturise every day, wear sunscreen SPF 50 etc yet I feel that they're quite bad lines for somebody of my age.

I've booked an appointment for Botox this weekend

Do eat too much sugar and wonder if this could be affecting it.

Any honest feedback is appreciated

@Cochabamba maybe be a bit less judgemental 😂😂😂 it's money I've earned, so I should be able to spend it as I like.

Not that anyone should have to justify, but I donate monthly to various charities, and have lots of upcoming trips. My under eye skin is something I hate after heavy steroid cream use in childhood, and it's something that can be fixed easily. A one off £800 really isn't that much

@Mo1911 , ah , thanks .
(I started getting little cysts and my cholesterol is really high .)

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7

You don’t have to justify yourself to anyone , I had to use steroid cream for years too altho not on face and it does effect your skin ( as you know obvs ) so if it’s going to make you feel better go for it !

I do understand when people say about Botox etc and the culture around women needing to look perfect etc etc I really do but for me the option is there for me and I’m happy with the results

You could say the same for anything though couldn’t you why bother ever doing your makeup or dying your hair ? Why not just walk around in hessian sacks 😂

arethereanyleftatall · 15/01/2022 16:00

Because make up and dyeing your hair aren't injecting chemicals in to your body and/or having risky operations in the name of looking younger.

You Are Being Absolutely Ridiculous.

lineyeyes · 15/01/2022 16:33

Sunscreen is your friend, and water, and acceptance.

Changemaname1 · 15/01/2022 17:11

@arethereanyleftatall

No obviously not but still as pointless surely ?

Dalalalada · 15/01/2022 17:13

Absolutely ridiculous.

Absolutely as pointless. But once you've got to the levels of actually thinking it's reasonable to go under the knife, sometimes risking your life to do so, or to routinely pump unknown chemicals in to your body; simply to look younger; then what the actual fuck has the world come to.

Changemaname1 · 15/01/2022 18:04

@arethereanyleftatall yes I deffo take your point Sad

Heartofglass12345 · 15/01/2022 20:35

I really don't think they are deep especially if you're smiling, and I don't see any dark circles at all (I have always had them even when I was a teenager, definitely genetic I think!)

SailingNotSurfing · 16/01/2022 09:47

Botox if you want but you’ll need it at regular intervals regularly. It’s not cheap. You can also get weird wrinkles in the wrong place too - look at Martine McCutcheon’s eyelids Shock

Delatron · 16/01/2022 10:01

You can definitely get weird wrinkles in the wrong places, especially upper eyelid just under the eyebrows. More ageing than just leaving the smile lines. That’s where the lines are supposed to be not on the eyelids.

caringcarer · 16/01/2022 20:41

I think you are imagining lines op. Just wait to you really have lines around your eyes.
