@FinallyFluid It's okay; you don't need to read the thread as it's just reasons we're all here. If you want you can go back and read at your leisure. I'm sorry if you had to take retirement sooner than you wanted, but it sounds like you have a lovely system falling asleep to the classics and waking up with DH and coffee.
@hedwigismyowl Ah, I should have figured that. It's actually not coincidental. Here in Switzerland, codeine is used for really bad coughs, so that will definitely have some effect. They use a medication called Tossamin which for the night time format is codeine, dkphenydramine, and something else. Very much knocks you out.
@Shehasadiamondinthesky My husband actually did that today. He's had a bit of a fever and stuffed nose (no COVID) and tons of stress, so slept for four hours, and is now back up. I do hope that you find your second round of sleep peaceful! And thank you for the article. I'll share it with him. I'm starting to wonder if he's more like that than truly nocturnal.
@Cheeseplantboots Ugh, there's nothing worse than a "tease sleep." Then you wake up, and have no idea what time it is really and discover it's still long before you might even have normally fallen asleep.
@Enough4me Thank you so much for sharing that for the cough sufferers on the thread! Hopefully it will help someone and the Alexa rain sounds must be lovely.
@NoNotHimTheOtherOne I can completely understand that. No matter how late you work, when you get home, you really just need some time to yourself to let it go and get into "home mode," before you can consider sleep. Unless you're so exhausted you pass out on the sofa.
@Everley Ah! So sorry to hear you're not feeling well, but at least that's a good way to distract yourself, with some soaps. I hope someone is making the shocked face: =O, or getting slapped, or going, "NOOOO it can't be TRUUUUUUE," at least once. And I do hope you feel better!
