@Wagsandclaws Well, there's nothing I love more than seeing some smooth furry criminals. Ha! I can only imagine Ponies Unleashed, like some latest adventure film starring Jason Statham or something. Perhaps you can get him to film at your house. Ehhh? Ehhhhh?
And makes perfect sense about stabling. While I know almost nothing about horses (except that their huge size makes me slightly nervous since I was bitten when I was wee), leaving animals to just be comfortable in their native temperatures makes perfect sense to me.
It is absolutely ridiculous that we get less snow than ANYWHERE in Switzerland. We're in the basin of Geneva, so even five miles away, you'd get lots more snow. But within the city of Geneva itself, it's like heat rises from the streets, so snow, when it does manage to fall, just never, ever sticks. When I took a few pictures of snow in the morning, it was already melting by 8am, and completely gone by 11am. Lapland sounds absolutely INCREDIBLE, though I'm not sure I could withstand those temperatures.
Yes, I'm SO excited. I've never made a real attempt to attend and I finally have the camera of my dreams and I'm going to get there and photograph all the exhibits, since I have several days, so I can rest and don't have to do it all at once. It's evenements.geneve.ch/genevalux-oeuvres/ (the button to change from French to English is in the top left).
Ah, about those dodgy American antihistamines... well, if they're Benadryl. Check the ingredients. If it's diphenhydramine, don't worry about it. They use it EVERYWHERE. Over here in Switzerland, there's a sleep medication that's just diphenhydramine. Or a cough medication and the "night cough" pills are codeine and diphenhydramine. But the American joke is always that if you take Benadryl, you won't know you have any allergies, beause you'll be completely knocked out for 24 hours.
And yes... the Internet is definitely a problem at night. Ha.
Just saw the photos! That first one with the brown and white dogs - I have never seen a more smug looking dog in my life than the one on the left. That's hilarious! And the light brown dog in the second photo - look at that precious face. Obviously he's never done ANYTHING wrong ever, including batshittery like howling at the moon at 3am. And I love the free range horse just wondering about! I know we have free-range eggs, but I guess that's how you get free-range horse shoes for games of horse shoes, har har.
