AIBU curmudgeonly husband telling me off

Husband very comfortable with loud music (former DJs) live in detached, no kids, I let air horn off when heavy tune dropped, he turned into dad. It’s Boxing Day, letting my hair down, after me calling him a hypocrite, many sweary words, he flounced off to bedroom. AIBU to continue with very loud DnB & Jungle along with drinks & dancing around the living room like a maniac, while he sulks?

Leave him to sulk and you enjoy your choons Grin

@user1473878824

You lost me at “fooked”, the most annoying semi-swear. Would rather the air horn went off.
Apologies user blah blah blah, fucked, air horn is in the FUCKING bin

I’m just here to say that OP has kindly corrected me on a lifelong misunderstanding - “Junglist Massive” makes so much more sense than “Jungle is massive” lol, how did I never work that out before?!! Also this thread has made me laugh a lot just imagining OP with her airhorn so thanks are due on two counts!

Phantosmia · 27/12/2021 02:06

Listening to Insomnia always makes me feel nostalgic; Reverence was my parents go to album for getting ready to go out on a friday night when I was a kid.

Unfortunately I have neighbours so I'm just going to listen to it with headphones Grin

Shoreditchmum2112 · 27/12/2021 02:13

YA definitely NBU

Well...as long the Lighter tune featured as part of your set Xmas Grin Happy Christmas!!

It’s all good @Kyliealwayshadthebestdisco if you’re a Junglist then Jungle is definitely massive Smile underground music, mostly Jungle was a big part of my life for a long time, music is a good thing, it brings people together & heals. Air horns & whistles were common in raves back in the day, also in reggae & ragga dances Smile

romdowa · 27/12/2021 04:03

Turmerictolly · 27/12/2021 04:35

Love it @crispsarny! Still going strong? The night is young (ish). Happy Xmas....

Xmas Grin
PupInAPram · 27/12/2021 04:48

You sound like someone stuck in the wrong stage of personal development. Like a teenager in a 42 (46?) year old body.

Pangolin44 · 27/12/2021 05:13

I'm conflicted. You are being very fucking unreasonable to listen to D&B or Jungle. They are the worst. Maybe gabba is more terrible. It's marginal.

However, erroneous use of an airhorn is quite amusing (as long as it's nowhere near me).

MinnieJackson · 27/12/2021 05:15

Hey @crispsarny I have agoraphobia too. You give that air horn a blast for me too! Although I will need at least a minutes warning because I'll jump a foot in the air 😂 my dh is taking the kids to mils today...hmm, daytime disco? I love this thread but I'm not a 'jungalist' Xmas Smile

NdujaWannaDance · 27/12/2021 05:20

This is what no kids looks like

Well thank fuck for that.

Can you imagine the disgust and horror on the faces of a couple of mortified teenagers in this scenario?

Pysgodywibliwobli · 27/12/2021 05:37

My DH would love a rave with a airhorn!

Sadly we live in a semi with kids sensitive to noise.

YANBU!

checkedcloth · 27/12/2021 06:02

@crispsarny your posts are excellent and loving your work with the air horn.

rwalker · 27/12/2021 07:07

No advice but a big thank you this thread is hilarious

Yuledo · 27/12/2021 07:29

I’m an 80’s teenager. This junglust thing passed me by. I feel old.

niceupthedanceagain · 27/12/2021 08:01

This is my kind of thread 🤣
