I liked Last Chistmas, but I like Emilia Clarke in enerything, so...
But to clarify few things about Croatians and that film.
I am from Croatia and when I saw that film in the cinema, all theatre laughed so hard.
I had bit of a trouble with their timeline, but this is how I understood it.
Croatia gained independence in 1992, but Yugoslavia lasted 11 years after that, just Serbia and Montenegro.
The family in the movie probably lived in Vojvodina, a part of former Yugoslavia, that has large croatian minority, before moving to UK.
So, they got that facts all right.
But one thing they so so did wrong was that outside christmas decoration on their house.
Croatians DO NOT decorate their houses on the outside. There was one man in the whole country who did that and he became so famous that he made a business of that.
They will mabye put a little light in the window or in thw balcony, but 90 per cent of people are not going to bother even with that.
I love reading middle class vs working class christmas in UK, because according to those lists, we in Croatia all or middle class.
