What would you go for?

I think I’d be Indian, so much diversity, southern Indian fish curries, northern vegetarian curries, chaat, parathas, biryianis

Indian would be easiest I think

But I couldn't live without Chinese bbq

DaphneDeloresMoorhead · 11/12/2021 23:21

@coffeeschmoffee

Greek. All day long. Pitta, dips, feta, salads, spanakopita, the cakes, souvlaki, YUM
Yes, yes , yes
dropitlikeitsloth · 11/12/2021 23:22

I could live off Baklava 🥰

stairway · 11/12/2021 23:22

I would go American as long as it included all the Americanised versions of other cuisines.

Chesneyhawkes1 · 11/12/2021 23:29

British.

As much as I love Mexican, Chinese, Indian, Italian etc, I couldn't never have a bacon sandwich again.

timestheyarechanging · 11/12/2021 23:32

Vietnamese - it always looks so good too!

Poppins2016 · 11/12/2021 23:33

Italy. I just can't get tired of the flavours.

jelly79 · 11/12/2021 23:39

Japanese always!

Livpool · 11/12/2021 23:59

India or Italy

As long as I could have some spice

CoutureBakes · 12/12/2021 00:02

I'm going to cheat and say Singaporean so I could have Chinese, Indian and Malaysian food Grin

TrishM80 · 12/12/2021 00:41

I like Italian food but what do Italians have for breakfast typically?

I see a lot of people chose Indian. I know a few people, my brother included, who visited India and they said every meal was some kind of curry dish. I like curries but the idea of having curry for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day sounds like a nightmare to me!

Luredbyapomegranate · 12/12/2021 00:49

Italy
Surprised by the people saying Japan - I love Japanese food, but as we know it it's a young cuisine (post WWII) and not hugely varied.

Pedalpushers · 12/12/2021 00:54

Italy for sure, but to be honest I love so many cuisines it's painful to choose - the world really does have so much incredible food, how great is it to be able to have it all?

bethabean · 12/12/2021 00:55

Greek!

saltinesandcoffeecups · 12/12/2021 01:02

Clearly the answer is American. Everything from delicious fish and seafood to spicy soul food , just about every fruit and veggie, award winning cheeses, simple fare to fancy creations.

I may have to change my answer if we’re talking wine and liquor though.

echt · 12/12/2021 01:34

Japanese.

RiverSkater · 12/12/2021 01:38

British - we absorb all food cultures!

Cheese? CHEESE??

There are nice cheeses, but they are fucking hard to find.

GrimDamnFanjo · 12/12/2021 01:43

Turkish!

Far more surprised anyone would choose British!

But Indian food is so much more than 'curry' and I don't really think it is the case that Indians eat it three times a day.

Lots of eggs, bread, pancakes etc here

It might be true that most food is spiced, but some of it will be quite mild and not really recognisable as curry in the narrow British sense of chicken or lamb in a spiced sauce served on rice.

Upthread I said I'd struggle to pick between Indian and an Eastern Mediterranean country, but if forced, I'd pick Indian. But in my mind, when I say 'Indian', what I really mean is just about anything off the Bundobust menu, even though they only sell about 20 things, with only about a quarter recogniseable as 'curry'.

Spitspotsput · 12/12/2021 06:36

English. I love stodgy food and bland food.

HeronLanyon · 12/12/2021 06:48

This game always rather upsets me and then I realise it’s all ‘just a game’ and I return to being able to eat all of the above !!
Italian but only just

Flowersandjellybeans · 12/12/2021 06:53

Thai

Thats why I wouldn’t choose british, gravy for breakfast, lunch and dinner sounds like a nightmare.
