What would you go for?

I think I’d be Indian, so much diversity, southern Indian fish curries, northern vegetarian curries, chaat, parathas, biryianis

Italian.

Italian.

Justheretoaskaquestion91 · 12/12/2021 09:25

Italian breakfasts are usually coffee and a breakfast

SnowWhitesSM · 12/12/2021 09:44

I agree @Lanaa plus porridge a million different ways, all the delicious fruits and veg of Jamaica, Jamaican French fried chicken, coleslaw, black cake, ginger cake, custard, carrot punch, peanut punch, guiness punch. There's so much nice food and drink - and you can still have a roast dinner just add loads of flavour and rice n peas on the side!

Butchyrestingface · 12/12/2021 09:46

Italian. Italy 🇮🇹 😋 🤤 🍝

Triphazards · 12/12/2021 10:00

British- lovely curries.

Katjolo · 12/12/2021 10:01

Yes to Jamaican. Washed down with some rum punch!

SeasonFinale · 12/12/2021 10:06

Yessss! I forgot about the cakes and punches. You can't beat cornmeal porridge too. Such an underrated cuisine. It makes me sad that Turtle Bay seems to be the face of Jamaican food in the U.K.

I love Indian but it would have to be Italian if I could pick only one or possibly Greek...arrh can't decide.

AdaColeman · 12/12/2021 10:52

Belgian….mussels, chips with mayonnaise (in fact chips were invented in Belgium), patisserie, chocolate especially with fresh cream fillings, pâté…..

Kinsters · 12/12/2021 10:53

Chinese, easily. Especially if you can add in the Chinese fusion dishes from SE Asia.

Forgothowmuchlhatehomeschoolin · 12/12/2021 11:10

Greece or Italy - couldn't possibly decide between the two!

@Luredbyapomegranate

Italy Surprised by the people saying Japan - I love Japanese food, but as we know it it's a young cuisine (post WWII) and not hugely varied.
Varied ingredients, lots of veg, lots of stews, soups, sides, fruit, multiple techniques and presentations, options for spice/heat, emphasis upon freshness, seasonality and regionality.

It's very varied.

OlympicProcrastinator · 12/12/2021 11:57

Japanese. Delicious and healthy. Could happily live off just that and probably will do when DC leave home.

This is the most ignorant of posts and insulting to the Japanese who are proud of their cuisine.

The Japanese style "one soup, three sides" dates back to the Five Great Zen Temples of the 12-century Kamakura period (Kamakura Gozan).

In the 19th century, the Japanese introduced more western-style foods into their diet.

AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 12/12/2021 12:06

Also, Japanese cuisine is based on two principles: (1) Buddhism, which forbids the killing of animals (except whales, who are classified as fish - yes, I know; they are mammals) and (2) simplicity.

Porcupineintherough · 12/12/2021 17:49

I think you will find that fish are also animals. As are all the other seafoods the Japanese enjoy.

I think you will find that you need to tell the Japanese this.
SymbollocksInteractionism · 12/12/2021 17:59

Definitely Italian

waitingpatientlyforspring · 12/12/2021 18:46

🤣 Alfonso, why can’t you answer for the whole country of Japan. 🤣
