Ok, first of all I want to acknowledge that this is a lighthearted thread. I know there are much bigger issues to worry about at the moment but I’m feeling like the little things might just push me over the edge and I thought some of you might be feeling the same.

So, go ahead and vent here, this is a safe space to share your most first world problems, they can be as shallow and as inconsequential as you like- no judgement!

I’ll kick off with….

I just bought a new mascara and it’s got a sodding stickle brick for a wand- apparently that’s a thing and people actually find it effective- well I hate it and I haven’t got time to buy another one.

I’ve just found out that people actually have spread sheets to log their present buying- I think that would have been really useful as I can’t work out if my kids have got even/equivalent presents and it’s doing my head in. Too late now though. Would have been useful in November!

I’m sick of seeing super fit, smiley people sprinting around all bouncy, out running. I’ve had a cold for 3 weeks (deffo not covid) and I can’t find time to go for a run, plus I’m too ill. And, if I did, the cold air makes me cough and splutter and these people just make me feel inadequate.

Definitely not pregnant either as mid IVF (unless it’s the trigger shot from my egg retrieval on monday!).

I splurged on a fancy mattress and now that it's broken in I keep being late for appointments because I'm too comfortable to get out of bed.

I want to make a galette des rois this year, but I can't find all-butter puff pastry; and I'm blowed if I'm making my own!

My petty moan is when shops stick the prices directly on products with those stickers that refuse peel off 😭.
I was sorting out stocking fillers last night and so many have ended up with either sticky residue on or parts of label that won't come off 😤

My new car is a cherry red Fiat 500. I've just bought a fancy, cherry red travel mug to match and it doesn't bloody fit in the cup holder [stamps feet]

I went to put my face mask on ahead of night out and found it was out of date (Sept 21)

I have put it on anyway and am now waiting for my face to fall off.

My cleaner cancelled on me this week. I have a party this weekend.

I'm having the worst hangover of my life after spending all night drinking passion fruit martinis with my friends. Self inflicted, privelidged, first world brat over here! And I can't figure out if I've spelt privelidged right.

I accidently bid on an extra bottle of whiskey at an online auction.

I've never inderstood the need to have the oven cleaned professionally before Christmas, surely that's a post Christmas job, blasting off all the spills!

My mother will be looking at it so yes it does need cleaning!

Feeling chilly but loathe to stick the heating on early before timer kicks in.

The only place I could find it in is Waitrose - Jus-Rol All Butter Puff Pastry ready rolled in the chiller bit. £2.20

everywhere else is palm oil filled Butter Enriched and it's awful.

Last night I posted i was out of butter.

I have shopping list ready for shop trip.

Just checked threads I am on...and it has reminded me to add butter!!

Life changing. In a first world way.

Four times i've changed all the Christmas lights around the windows at the front of the house over the last 10 days.

FOUR times.

It's a double fronted house and i am now finally just about happy with the ambiance given out by the ''soft warm glow'' on the big and small windows coupled with the cooler white ONLY around the door to compliment the frosted wreath.

sigh. I think i can relax now.

I’ve got too much food to eat and it’s making me fat.

I've gone to huge effort to have all my christmas shopping delivered to work, in a vain attempt to surprise our DC for once. A parcel arrived yesterday after I'd left, and DH brings it into the living room last night saying "oh this arrived for you" - and sods law it was in the product box, so DD3 knew it was the mirror she'd asked me for.

I could fucking kill him. I honestly don't know what he was thinking.
