Ok, first of all I want to acknowledge that this is a lighthearted thread. I know there are much bigger issues to worry about at the moment but I’m feeling like the little things might just push me over the edge and I thought some of you might be feeling the same.

So, go ahead and vent here, this is a safe space to share your most first world problems, they can be as shallow and as inconsequential as you like- no judgement!

I’ll kick off with….

I just bought a new mascara and it’s got a sodding stickle brick for a wand- apparently that’s a thing and people actually find it effective- well I hate it and I haven’t got time to buy another one.

I’ve just found out that people actually have spread sheets to log their present buying- I think that would have been really useful as I can’t work out if my kids have got even/equivalent presents and it’s doing my head in. Too late now though. Would have been useful in November!

I’m sick of seeing super fit, smiley people sprinting around all bouncy, out running. I’ve had a cold for 3 weeks (deffo not covid) and I can’t find time to go for a run, plus I’m too ill. And, if I did, the cold air makes me cough and splutter and these people just make me feel inadequate.

Ok, your go..,,

@Wilkolampshade

The festive garlands I bought for my windows are too festive and I'll have to tone them down by airbrushing them lightly with a dusting of farrow and ball....
I really feel for you 🤣

@maddening what is the lion the witch and the wardrobe? Is it theatre?

SafeMove · 10/12/2021 17:29

I really want a utility room. I have my washer, boiler, fridge freezer, mop bucket, foldable vice workbench, laundry basket and sweeping brush in the space under the stairs and I havd to play 'move the household item' just to put a wash on.

And I will never have sex with Sam Fender because I am 15 years older than him and actually adore my DP, but it makes me sad anyway.

Yes, at the Lowry in Manchester, looks amazing! So gutted, been kicking myself today as I was super excited when I got the tickets, can't believe I forgot!

The wind keeps blowing random bits of crap left by the bin men or just crap off the street in my front garden. I remove it and 10 mins later, more crap. I found a teabag there this morning. Not on.

PeanutButterCheesecake · 10/12/2021 17:39

@maddening

Gutted for you 💔 the lion the witch and the wardrobe is such a childhood fave.

Going to go and have a look at it myself!

There's a hole in my Marigolds and I haven't got a spare pair under the sink.

Zumarocks · 10/12/2021 17:53

@maddening have you tried selling them on Ticketswap?

PeanutButterCheesecake · 10/12/2021 17:53

Looks amaaaazing!

Invasionofthegutsnatchers · 10/12/2021 17:54

@maddening where is the show you have booked?

I can't book an oven clean before Christmas so I'll have to do it myself 😱 the horror!

LakieLady · 10/12/2021 17:56

Despite there being more shades of grey paint than I ever dreamed of, I can't find the right shade for my bathroom walls.

Some are too blue, some are too browny, some are taupe, some are too pale and some are too dark.

It's now an interesting patchwork of tester pot fails.

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 10/12/2021 18:02

I’ve just spent £50 ordering lightbulbs online.
They’re the wrong fitting.

My Velvetiser hasn’t arrived. Woe.

A580Hojas · 10/12/2021 18:12

I want the old fragrance of green Fairy Liquid back (a washing up theme to my posts).

maddening · 10/12/2021 18:20

Manchester, Lowry, fab venue as well! It is on through January as well so still time to catch it.

TwinklyBranch · 10/12/2021 18:20

@ImJustNotMeAnymore Yes! They were from Tesco. If you have any recommendations for superior pigs in blanket crisps I'm all ears.

maddening · 10/12/2021 18:21

I have sold them now thankfully, someone has got a fab deal 😀 so all ended good.

Ilovetea33 · 10/12/2021 18:26

A concert I had been looking forward to for ages has just been cancelled. Because of the date of the concert, I didn't book a mini break that I was also interested in, and now it's too late.

headspin10 · 10/12/2021 18:28

I dropped tahini on my shoe and it looks like bird poo.

I can't decide what to cook for dinner again- it's so boring. But we have a fridge and cupboard full of food and a roof over our heads etc etc Sad

BlackeyedSusan · 10/12/2021 18:30

@SallyMcNally

My wine delivery arrived (sorry knackeredcat) but I don't have enough space in the wine rack to store it all.
Surely this is easily solved and not a problem...

Tomorrow's headache on the other hand...

labazslovesliving · 10/12/2021 18:34

Thought I would be healthy and have salad and Quorn for tea but now I have sat chomping through loads of bits and pieces for a ridiculous amount of time but still feel hungry; if I am honest did not enjoy it that much to be honest. plus before lunch, I had 4 mince pies so probably a waste of time!
though all the grandkids are having money instead of gifts as I don't have a clue what they would like; age range 5-19, but me being me I put the money envelope with a wrapped selection box so they have something to open hence why I have to wrap 17 selection boxes which are staring guilty at me!

DontWiltMySpinachPlease · 10/12/2021 18:35

Netflix is taking How I Met Your Mother off as of 31st December and I generally watch it on and off throughout the year when I have no other series to watch. Bummer.

Sadly not I'm afraid. Will of course tell if anything turns up.

Puddstalk · 10/12/2021 19:28

I have six parcels on the way - Royal Mail have two, DPD have one, Hermes have three they have managed to lose one, it’s been “misdirected” for the last three days, goodness knows when the other two will arrive….if ever. My dog went to the groomer and they have given him really stupid teddy bear ears!

Oh no! That’s one of my go to shows when there’s nothing else to watch.
