Ok, first of all I want to acknowledge that this is a lighthearted thread. I know there are much bigger issues to worry about at the moment but I’m feeling like the little things might just push me over the edge and I thought some of you might be feeling the same.

So, go ahead and vent here, this is a safe space to share your most first world problems, they can be as shallow and as inconsequential as you like- no judgement!

I’ll kick off with….

I just bought a new mascara and it’s got a sodding stickle brick for a wand- apparently that’s a thing and people actually find it effective- well I hate it and I haven’t got time to buy another one.

I’ve just found out that people actually have spread sheets to log their present buying- I think that would have been really useful as I can’t work out if my kids have got even/equivalent presents and it’s doing my head in. Too late now though. Would have been useful in November!

I’m sick of seeing super fit, smiley people sprinting around all bouncy, out running. I’ve had a cold for 3 weeks (deffo not covid) and I can’t find time to go for a run, plus I’m too ill. And, if I did, the cold air makes me cough and splutter and these people just make me feel inadequate.

DPD have been telling me since Monday they are expecting two parcels but they don't have them, and I don't know what they are. I haven't had any despatch emails so 🤷‍♀️ it's annoying.

I ordered gifts from a local supplier to wrap while isolating, they haven't been dispatched 8 working days later.

My appetite and energy has disappeared too.

I’m looking for new Christmas tree ornaments and lights.I really like cool white lights but they look best with silver and blue baubles. Should I have different lights which better compliment baubles in various colours?

I have more.
I have a cut on my knuckle and it hurts to bend my finger.
When I went for my booster I had to wait outside and so when I went into the heat my nose started to run. I blew it too hard and bent my nose ring.
Also my arm hurts

After the third attempt at making sweet pastry for mince pies i am blaming the flour and the sugar.. they are just wrong....it's definitely not me!! Xmas Grin

Local butchers has closed down after 7 decades. no lovely Christmas sausages....bahaaaaa! Xmas Sad

I have a primal craving for brassicas. First thing I think of when I wake up. I’m insatiable Mainly I crave raw brussels sprouts but following these for breakfast I ate a whole cauliflower for lunch yesterday.

Now I’m worried there is something wrong with me! Grin

I just bought a new coat online but had to exchange it for a different size. The new size has just arrived and although it fits better, I still don't think it really suits me and I'm so disappointed! I really wanted a new coat and it's gorgeous! Just not the right shape for me, perhaps... Sad

I cannot find Pork Crackling straws anywhere.
They are normally only around at Xmas and I've hunted hi and low to no avail.
I also didn't buy my usual stash of disgusting but completely necessary supply of KP Cheese Footballs when I saw them in the supermarket - now can't find those either.
Christmas is ruined .........

My bathroom refurb is taking much longer than the promised week. Guests arriving to add to the chaos, place looks like a bombsite.

We had our work Christmas party last night and despite choosing a really thoughtful secret Santa that my recipient absolutely loved I ended up with Baylis & Harding smellies

The supermarket had run out of my favourite brand of yogurt for my click and collect order yesterday,. If that wasn’t bad enough they substituted another brand of the same flavour soI can’t even grumble about not liking a new flavour!

Oh and I’m having to type this one handed (iPad) as there’s a cat on my lap and as all cat servants know its a capital offence to move a cat when it doesn’t want to move

@ImJustNotMeAnymore Yes! They were from Tesco. If you have any recommendations for superior pigs in blanket crisps I'm all ears.

I don't know if they are any good but they have pigs in blankets crisps in B&M, I had to walk past them very quickly.

My 7 year old son had a temperature last night now I have to go and tell him that we can't go to his best friends laser party today. And book a sodding pcr test.

-Why do some people think it is ok when 30 cars waiting at the lights to then overtake them into oncoming traffic swerve harshly when an innocent car comes the other way as it is permitted to do. Then said car swerving back into oncoming traffic and finally pull in at the front of the queue?

-the traffic is very bad atm. A ten min journey took me 50 mins yesterday.

-Also i bought two tumblers. They are stuck together and the video with ice and hot water on you tube doesn't work.

Now the DPD app makes no reference at all to either parcel and I now think one is my Christmas present from my mother.

I was annoyed at not having those seats then was even more annoyed at myself for being so pathetic. Argh
