Ok, first of all I want to acknowledge that this is a lighthearted thread. I know there are much bigger issues to worry about at the moment but I’m feeling like the little things might just push me over the edge and I thought some of you might be feeling the same.

So, go ahead and vent here, this is a safe space to share your most first world problems, they can be as shallow and as inconsequential as you like- no judgement!

I’ll kick off with….

I just bought a new mascara and it’s got a sodding stickle brick for a wand- apparently that’s a thing and people actually find it effective- well I hate it and I haven’t got time to buy another one.

I’ve just found out that people actually have spread sheets to log their present buying- I think that would have been really useful as I can’t work out if my kids have got even/equivalent presents and it’s doing my head in. Too late now though. Would have been useful in November!

I’m sick of seeing super fit, smiley people sprinting around all bouncy, out running. I’ve had a cold for 3 weeks (deffo not covid) and I can’t find time to go for a run, plus I’m too ill. And, if I did, the cold air makes me cough and splutter and these people just make me feel inadequate.

Ok, your go..,,

My neighbour who has the parking space that abuts my driver's side door parked so close to my car two nights ago that I had to climb into my car on the passenger side the next morning.

Also, her dog pooped in the flowerbed while she was out of town and her dog sitter never bothered picking it up. Then the gardening crew went through on Wednesday, strimmered the hostas, and spread dog poo all over the garden path.

I made banana bread to use up the slowly rotting bananas no one eats and it wasn't cooked properly when I took it out the oven. I'd been looking forward to cake and I'm a Celebrity...

I forgot to take some jumpers out of the tumble dryer and now they've shrunk and it's annoying because I liked those jumpers.

I picked up a parcel from the local newsagent from Vinted and got home to find an email saying another parcel I'd been waiting for was now waiting to be picked up from the newsagent so I need to go back to pick it up.

KittensWearingWoollyMittens · 10/12/2021 20:16

My takeaway arrived and it was cold

GTAlogic · 10/12/2021 20:18

I've run out of the good loose tea and am having to use the teabags.

LosingTheWill2 · 10/12/2021 20:42

@Nsky the performance won’t be the same without you, I bet you put on a great show 😂

Only joking, I hope you recover soon

LosingTheWill2 · 10/12/2021 20:45

The car park that I parked in, closed at 6pm, which meant my shopping trip with my dd was cut short. My own fault for not checking, but I’m supper annoyed!

LosingTheWill2 · 10/12/2021 20:46

*super not supper (I just can’t catch a break today 🤦‍♀️)

Slayduggee · 10/12/2021 20:55

I’m worried that someone will catch covid and prevent me from picking up my M&S Christmas food order. Or that I will pick it up then no one will come round over Christmas and I will be left with enough food to feed an army!

RebeccaNoodles · 10/12/2021 21:17

I can't find a nice mantelpiece garland.

Mummadeze · 10/12/2021 21:23

I am recovering from an operation (which is a fair problem) but the things that are annoying me most about my recovery are that I can’t play tennis (completely doing my head in as I am obsessed with it) and I can only eat bland food with no spices (and now I just want to eat curry every day)!

Mummadeze · 10/12/2021 21:24

I also get annoyed that I binge watch series and then I can’t watch them anymore. I hate that they are over too quickly but I never learn.

JaffaBiscuits · 10/12/2021 21:28

I was disappointed with the wild boar pie I bought from a farmer's market.

£8 and six tiny pieces of meat in it.

Tinabn · 10/12/2021 21:34

I had my flu jab over a month ago and still have a sore arm so can’t do any exercise except Pilates and I’m eating like a horse.

XmasElf10 · 10/12/2021 21:40

Work has been hard this week and I’m tired, my cleaner couldn’t come on Wednesday so we are very untidy (I did try) and I had my Covid booster yesterday and my arm hurts.

Basically I just feel exhausted and a bit shitty.

Mummylovesmonkeys · 10/12/2021 21:47

I spent £80 to join Slimming World online, and her I am getting as drunk as a twat on the wine I bought for Crimbo. Might start on the Crimbo bikkies soon.

upaladderagain · 10/12/2021 21:50

Do I get a new mortgage and buy a new house with a smaller garden or get a smaller mortgage and reconfigure my current house?

Yummypumpkin · 10/12/2021 21:51

I have run out of butter.

I am quietly devastated.

TwinklyBranch · 10/12/2021 21:51

My most extreme first world problem is that I love this Christmas tree postcard (I collect postcards) but they're only available as freebies from the Rockefeller Center in New York so I can't get one for love nor money. Gutted. WinkGrin

jacqelinedaniels · 10/12/2021 21:52

I ordered an Xmas pressie for myself from FIL from the fat face sale and it arrived yesterday, the wrong item two sizes too big. Returned today but sure the thing I wanted will have gone as it was low stock when ordered and can’t be arsed to look for another present for myself.

Total first world issue 😂😭

Nomorefuckstogive · 10/12/2021 21:54

@Yestoallthecake

My Tesco shop just arrived, normal mince pies got subbed. Too appalled to try them (until at least mid afternoon when I need a sugar rush)
I love those crumble topped ones! Are you on a Tesco bonus, fishing for our compliments?
mediumbrownmug · 10/12/2021 22:07

I ordered my first real “grown up” umbrella online, and from the very day it was delivered it has been bone dry here, despite it raining buckets for an entire month before it arrived (hence me ordering the umbrella). Not a drop forecast for the next week at least.

Crunchymum · 10/12/2021 22:12

I have a cut on my thumb, which needs a plaster and the plaster is seriously impinging on my ability to type.

Strangevipers · 10/12/2021 22:13

The hairdressers called to confirm my appointment this week while I was taking a nap - how cheeky haha

steff13 · 10/12/2021 22:21

I bought movie tickets online and didn't notice that the auditorium had stadium-style seating instead of the "AMC Signature Recliners." I spent the entire movie in an acceptable amount of comfort when I could have been in a supreme amount of comfort. 🤦‍♀️
