Ok, first of all I want to acknowledge that this is a lighthearted thread. I know there are much bigger issues to worry about at the moment but I’m feeling like the little things might just push me over the edge and I thought some of you might be feeling the same.

So, go ahead and vent here, this is a safe space to share your most first world problems, they can be as shallow and as inconsequential as you like- no judgement!

I’ll kick off with….

I just bought a new mascara and it’s got a sodding stickle brick for a wand- apparently that’s a thing and people actually find it effective- well I hate it and I haven’t got time to buy another one.

I’ve just found out that people actually have spread sheets to log their present buying- I think that would have been really useful as I can’t work out if my kids have got even/equivalent presents and it’s doing my head in. Too late now though. Would have been useful in November!

I’m sick of seeing super fit, smiley people sprinting around all bouncy, out running. I’ve had a cold for 3 weeks (deffo not covid) and I can’t find time to go for a run, plus I’m too ill. And, if I did, the cold air makes me cough and splutter and these people just make me feel inadequate.

Only had this discussion last night. Have sold my house ( a fairly new build) and moved in to a rental which is a really old house
I miss as follows

• My boiling water tap

• Underfloor heating
• A decent power shower -Have an electric shower its is the worse
• A warm bathroom - rental is draughty
• Triple glazed windows that are sealed properly
• A well designed kitchen
• Proper storage

I know i am lucky that i have a house, but god i miss my old modern one

Friday is my major housework day, I can't find the long nozzle for the hoover and there are pine needles under the tree

I am recuperating after hospital and waiting for an operation and I should be having a lovely time lazing on the sofa except there is nothing at all on the whole of Netflix, Prime, Iplayer, All4 etc that I want to watch. It is ALL rubbish.

I wrote Happy Christmas instead of Happy Birthday in a card so had to go out and get another one

Just eaten chips and sumai- now I feel fat and guilty but to make matters worse I am meeting my friend in the gym at 1230- I'm going to have such a stitch!!

Also my robot hoover keeps getting lost under the Xmas tree, so I have to make a wall of bins and cushions around it, which is another thing on my list of things to do before work

Loving these, they’re really cheering me up through what is proving to be a really tough time!

I’d like to add that I can’t decided between lovely craft paper, neutral crackers that will compliment my table decor or bright kiddy focused ones, or if it’s even environmentally acceptable to have crackers- even recyclable ones. While I’ve been faffing, everywhere has pretty much sold out so it’s a moot point anyway but somehow I’m still worrying about it.

Worried about whether I have made the right decision to have shoulder of lamb for Christmas dinner instead of turkey. Planning to do this Jamie recipe:

I'm having to eat chicken soup at 9am because its the only thing that's settling my ALL DAY pregnancy sickness. I wake up wanting to cry at the thought of another bowl of it 😭

Living without a washing machine for over a week for then your dc misses the delivery. Had to wait a few days longer… but all sorted now.

If someone would just come and make a Pom Pom so I can wrap this hat I'd be much happier.

Nine months pregnant, don't fancy lugging the delivery of wine I've just taken down to the wine cellar. Drinks cabinet is full so the wine will be sat taunting me until DH finishes work.

My boss has told us we can finish early today in order to get ready for our Christmas party tonight. However, he hasn’t given us an exact time so there’s lots of frantic Slack messages between everyone discussing what time is acceptable to log off.
I’m already sat with a head full of rollers so I hope no one video calls me!

Sodding screw on my oven door catch fell out and got lost in July; I am STILL trying to track down a replacement and keep being passed between the manufacturer and Very, as well as getting no response from any of the other online Swan spare parts sites.

I really don't want to have to buy a whole new oven for the sake of a screw

@SpittinKitten Have you tried espares.co.uk? They've got a good online search and a helpline where you can actually talk to a real person. They supply spares for loads of household appliances.

In a fit of organisation I have wrapped loads of the Christmas presents we've bought, only I have to vacuum under the tree before I put them there. I hate vacuuming 😫

Still pregnant (due Monday) and by now I would be drinking mulled wine and sherry. Don't even get me started on the lack of Pimm's and Sangria in my life this summer just gone.

I have some of those annoying thick hairs that sprout on the neck and chin, and they're at that in-between stage where they're long enough for me to notice they're there ( I can feel them) but not yet long enough to grip with tweezers and pluck.

Not wanting to be funny but people in poor countries are also bothered by minor shit too. It's not just the first world!
Most of us find these minor irritations in our daily lives super annoying whether first, second or third world!

Loads of snow here. Our neighbour will go to any length to keep his property looking perfect. I keep having to check that the snow he is clearing from his drive isn't landing in our garden (problem neighbour.. long story...otherwise I wouldn'tcare)

I'm going to a Christmas market this evening and can't decide what wear.

The Uniqlo top advertised as yellow has turned out to be a muddy brown. Grrr...

Oh - aarrgghh! You need to get those super pointed tweezers (I got some from Superdrug, nothing fancy) they'll get anything out I promise!

I started making foiled Christmas cards with my Cricut on Monday and made 12 but haven’t been motivated since to make to make the other 10 or so that I need.

My indoor training app just crashed, i was in the middle of an interval... what the fuck am i paying for? don't they know who i am!!!!!
