Because my (small) family and I will be sticking precisely to our plans to get together. Just the children and me on Christmas Day
And then my 3 siblings and 3 children on Boxing Day.
All double vaccinated. 4 children and 1 adult have had covid (very mildly). The others, who knows!
Does t matter what’s decided. We will do exactly as planned
Am I being unreasonable?

I agree with you. Everything will be normal here too.
For many reasons, I will not be complying with any instructions the government might decide to issue regarding whether or not I can see my family. I did that once before and almost paid a very high price.

We're being softened up. I can see some kind of restrictions coming for Christmas. Can't see many following it though, other than the natural rule followers and those, for whatever reason, are still very anxious.

Given that pubs and clubs are still full to bursting, with no indication as yet they will be closed (fingers crossed it stays that way) I think we're some way from banning families mixing at Christmas. If they don't ban it, no issue. If they do, you get to enjoy feeling like a rebel. Win win.

No one is cancelling Christmas op. We are not even social distancing for Christmas much less cruising to a full lockdown.
Relax, choose update your itunes to include your favourite songs, put up the decorations and chill out a bit.
