wtf, i am in the north west, few hours back the wind picked up like nothing i have heard in years. I tis FIERCE!

Anyone else experiencing it?

It is extremely powerful and quite awe inspiring. The noise is seriously dark and creepy. Went outside and was almost taken off my feet. Trees bent double, howling, etc.

I really hate it windy, it’s so destructive.

HipHopBanzai · 26/11/2021 23:06

We're not far from Manchester airport. Not surprised the planes are going round. It's wild out there!

CuddlyDudley · 26/11/2021 23:07

Northwest here and I'm not enjoying this. Fence that we share with neighbours at the back is bulging our way and the alley down the side is a wind tunnel filled with overturned wheelie bins and garden junk. Not looking forward to the morning and thinking a out the clean up 😭

2pinkginsplease · 26/11/2021 23:07

We are in a yellow wind warning area and it’s so noisy! My sister lives in a red warning area and she sent us a sound clip of the wind and it’s so bloody loud! It’s wild out there

polkadotpjs · 26/11/2021 23:09

NW here too - it sounds mental out there.
I walked home from a friend's earlier and the floor was littered with branches.
Scary

KurtWildesChristmasNamechange · 26/11/2021 23:10

West Yorkshire and it's so wild and noisy out there. The lights keep flickering, really hoping the electric doesn't get cut off! Sounds like my fences are blowing round the garden. Daren't look tbh, it sounds utter carnage. The dogs won't go out!

JumpLeadsForTwo · 26/11/2021 23:12

NW here too and scary. Howling through the windows

polkadotpjs · 26/11/2021 23:15

Lights now flickering on and off

LilyRed · 26/11/2021 23:18

Lights flickering here too along the Ayrshir coast although the wind has quietened a bit: the sea is still very rough.

I'm in dales in Cumbria border. Red sky, strange clouds like mushrooms and ice clinging to the walls wtf
LilyRed · 26/11/2021 23:19

Argh! Ayrshire!

ArrrMeHearties · 26/11/2021 23:19

ihaveroyallyscrewedup I'm fearing for my tiles there have been some questionable hangings the last 10mins or so. weirdarchitecture where did you get your ankle length coat? I've been coveting one for weeks

Why, do you have a life long dream of being a human kite? That is what would happen if you tried going out round here at the moment!

Peak District. Very windy and very wet. Crap bouncing about everywhere outside. Power went off earlier for 2 hours, but came back on at 11.

plinkplinkfizzer · 26/11/2021 23:21

We are just back on from a power cut east Scotland . I wont put the candles away just yet .

CharlotteRose90 · 26/11/2021 23:22

I’m NW too. Manchester. My lights keep flicking on and off . Charging my phone and stuff now incase of a power cut and keeping all the torches nearby. It’s bloody awful.

WeirdArchitecture · 26/11/2021 23:23

lights going on and off here too.

West Yorkshire here. Wheely bins are tumbling down the main road outside my house.
Dreading snow. My roof leaks terribly and I can’t save up enough to get it repaired.
I hate winter.

RedToothBrush · 26/11/2021 23:37

@IHateCoronavirus

NW also, I’m quite sure it is the apocalypse. As such I’m eating all of the chocolate and drinking all of the wine just in case. I’d hate for it to be wasted on zombies and cockroaches.
Its fine here. We have half a million mince pies stashed in the house. We can sit out the apocalyspe and zombie take over.

But yeah its WILD out there.

GenandaThirty · 26/11/2021 23:38

@RedToothBrush MINCE PIES????

ILoveAnOwl · 26/11/2021 23:39

I'm supposed to be meeting friends in a lakeside lodge for the weekend. After my 3rd fallen tree, I've given up and I'm in a travel lodge instead. Luckily, I have the cheese abd gin with me!

NigellaAwesome · 26/11/2021 23:44

Strangely quiet in NI at the moment unless gin blunts hearing. @Crispynoodle where are you? Is it worse on the North Coast?

S0RCHA · 26/11/2021 23:44

Central Scotland here too and it’s still wild! Roofs off houses in nearby village and trees blocking roads. Worst I’ve heard in a long time - won’t help my house is backed by woods 😰
