To wonder why we’re still obsessed with Covid.

Three times as many people are dying of cancer every single day. More than ten times as many people are dying every day of other causes. But we aren’t getting daily updates about these on every news bulletin or website. Yes, people should get vaccinated, yes occasionally people are still getting very ill with it, and some are dying. But it is very far from being the great danger that it was 12-18 months ago. Can we just move on from the endless focus on it now?

My late husband did not get diagnosed or treated in time because of covid.

He and many others we knew who had thier chemo stopped/never started would rather have took thier chance with covid and had the treatment..

Very difficult to understand or have any empathy with unless you've watched your husband or loved one die quickly and very painfully from a cancer that should have been diagnosed veryquickly

@blackheartsgirl you've written exactly what I was going to say. I'm deeply sorry for what you've been through

We have to get on with life, get back to some normality, other diseases need to be cared for. My point or the point I was trying to get across, give people their space if you can, as you dont know what their going through. I chose to sit outside the cafe to feel safer. I choose to wear a mask for others around me and to feel safer. Now the rules have changed you also have to wear a mask (I'm sure lots will decide their exempt) the few that genuinely can't wear a mask are demonized with those that won't wear one, shame!. We have to live with this crap for possibly years cant we be respectful of others. As for the comment about children going to war it was supposed to remind people how the mindset has changed, how have we all become so self absorbed.
