To wonder why DD was refused food?

Y8 DD came back from a residential trip and said she and her friend asked for a the Yorkshire Pudding without the meat sprinkles - the server was sprinkling the meat on it in front of them so could have just given one before he sprinkled it.

They were both refused.

We were told that this venue caters for all diets so why would they have been refused this?

OP has actually said very little so it's very unclear how we're supposed to answer the question but as always on AIBU it's more about the debate!

We don't even know whether the girls asked for vegetarian meals. We don't know what else was in the meat meal.
They might have just been picky and not wanted "meat sprinkles" on the Yorkshire pudding even though they had a full plate of roast pork alongside it.

It doesn't matter whether her DD is a vegetarian or not, she didn't want the 'meat sprinkles' which she is perfectly entitled not to want - I don't think I'd want to eat something described as meat sprinkles either. It wasn't exactly putting the guy out, all he had to NOT do was add sprinkles when asked.

@TinnedPotatoesRock I completely agree, it's just a majority of posters are debating this as a vegetarian/non matter when that might have nothing to do with it at all 🤷‍♀️

Which makes me think that there's more to this than the guy simply being awkward for the hell of it (although he may have been!)- none of us will know, as we weren't there. I do think it's a bit strange that the OP hasn't come back to explain whether her DD is vegetarian or not. I also think it's a bit strange that her DD has been away on a residential, and this is what the OP has become hung up about. One single Yorkshire pudding.

Are meat sprinkles those things you get on salad bars? If so why were they even on a Yorkshire pudding? Bit odd!

Those are usually soya bits (&vegetarian),ironically!

Exactly, hard to give definite feedback without more information. I see op has been back to the thread but has not given more info so assume her dd was unreasonable and she doesn't want to hear it.

I still want the OP to come back and explain what meat sprinkles are! @TheLasrStraw please tell us!
