The house is chaos. I’m not well. Two children are running around like feral cats.

What’s DH doing? Making creme brûlée.

I don’t care, it’ll be delicious but it’s the last thing we need.

This is lighthearted btw - DH is not a twat or ignoring us/kids etc.

On Monday I thought my mom needed a hip replacement. On Wednesday I found out her hip joint was fine but she has a tumor in her hip bone. Today I find out it's much larger than it was on Monday and it's looking really bad.
Fuck you cancer. Fuck you Covid.

I have found this thread really interesting - a really wide representation of all the different life experiences.

Feeling very unwell from chemo and just in general this week. I had a bit more energy today so went for a nice walk and laid some flowers at a site of wayside graves. My cat followed me and had great fun chasing squirrels.

Well that puts my problems in perspective! How awful. If I had a clue how to put the flowers emoji here I'd do it for you and your mum.

Spent the day watching squid game,was ok but not as great as folk going on about. Stuffed my face with carbs all day even though not due period. Regretting not taking my lazy ass to the shop for wine.

Watched DS play in a football match this morning.

Did some painting with the DC this afternoon.

DH & the DCs made pizzas for dinner whilst I cleaned the DCs rooms.

Now lying on DSs bed catching up on MN and finishing a glass of wine whilst he reads his book. DD is reading her school book to DH in her room.

Just got back from my parents where we had Sunday dinner. Left dd there for 2 sleepovers.
Earlier we reserved 2 cats to pick up when we get back from holiday in 2 weeks. Its been a good day, lets hope its a sign for the week.

Got DD6 with a temperature but OK otherwise, DH disappointed in Man Utd game, DD4 crafted like crazy all day and glitter is everywhere- both DDs been asleep for ages. I am drinking wine and starting the book 'Where the Crawdads Sing" and eating a Reeces Nutrageous bar.

It's rained all day so we decided to put all the Halloween decorations up today. All of them. Every last cobweb. House looks like a scene from a bad horror B movie. Not quite what I'd envisaged but the kids are happy. Just the pumpkins to carve now before the party on Friday night.

DC have been in bed for a couple of hours now. Not asleep mind, I can still hear them popping in and out of each other's bedrooms. I'll give them til half past then I'm heading up to finish my wine in bed with some Netflix.

We normally have a roast on Sunday but with all the chaos (and youngest DD with this cold from hell) I decided to treat us to takeaway. Actually I'll take the leftovers to bed with me. Plan!

Some random bloke came up to me in the supermarket to ask if my hair colour was my natural colour.
Unless I'm half flamingo/half human then no. My hair is bright pink!!

I'm lying on my bed binge-watching Sex Education with the cat on my legs. I want to get up and take my make off, etc, but she looks too cosy. 🙄 I also have one of the huge under-the-skin spots coming up on my chin. From nowhere!

DS2 is in his room watching Netflix. DH is downstairs watching football. We had an absolutely spectacular shag earlier today so he's currently my favourite person ever.

DS1 just got back from work. I've been hounding him for weeks to ask for a spare uniform shirt, as he's only got one and it's hard washing and drying it in-between his daily shifts. He texted me earlier, from work, proudly shoeing Nr the spare shirt... which he then forgot to bring home. 😆

It's mid afternoon in Vancouver. The weather is horrible. Raining very hard and some sort of big windstorm on the way here. There is a special weather alert in place and it says we could have gusts up to 90 km/hour. I am not looking forward to it.

Rain-averse dog is in full on rain depression mode and wants to sit on my lap all the time. I need to take him out but I know he will basically refuse and put the brakes on. He must have a bladder of steel.

I am making chicken noodle soup for dinner to ward off the bad weather.

I am looking forward to Amazon delivering some acrylic paint brush pens for my Christmas ornament project.

Spent all day cleaning/washing clothes
Made a spag bol for dinner
In bed on here and reading Debbie Harrys autobiography 'Face It'. She's really rather beautiful and has basically kicked arse from the first page. I love her.

Oh and just about to order 2 kilos of salted peanuts/and a kilo each of chocolate raisins and yogurt coated cranberries which will be poured into a massive bowl, given a good mix up and then put into an airtight container. A couple of handfuls are my nightly bedtime snack

Have spent day in my childhood home helping my widowed DM who has been unwell, possibly something long term but we won't know for a while and she can't be left alone. Sitting at the family table where for 18 years we had breakfast, cheese on toast, Sunday lunches etc and sleeping in my old room, but helping my Mum go to the loo and get into bed etc. Just weird. Like my life flashing before my eyes.

My friend just left, we had a discussion about how she should handle an issue with other friends. We concluded, fuck them.

The kids played, and now I have to get up and get the dinner cooked. I fancy a nap instead

Took the teens out of town to countryside for a walk and lunch. I have never heard so much moaning and swearing in my life over an hour long walk. You would have thought I had told them we were walking from one end of the Uk to the other.

Had trouble with elderly patents in the sense they are not well. Not contagious ill, old age related.

Managed to do enough washing that the washing bin lid now shuts. Which I feel is quite an achievement given that it was over flowing and I had two more loads on the floor this morning. (Had difficult few days with my dc not making good teen choices, that I have had to deal with, and routine has gone pear shaped. No hope of getting completely back on track as half term).

Had the worst day. Leak in the airing cupboard and water coming through the kitchen ceiling. Emergency call out people couldn't fix it so shut down the water. No flushing toilet. Running water or heating. DP is the funniest of shitest moods after an argument with his DM she is always a nasty fucker to him. His crime was to suggest he visits her for a week around her birthday.

I have the pleasure of more plumbers tomorrow and half term. DP will be asleep as he's on night shift tomorrow.

I've been really emotional today. I have a family funeral today (25th) and dreading it. DP and I had a lazy day, we worked on our online shop, bought some items, listed some stuff and then had hotdogs whilst playing Wii games whilst our 6 month old rolled around on the floor.

I'm annoyed with my DM, she has a trapped nerve and she refuses to exercise. When I gently mentioned it she had a go at me telling me that I "don't understand" how much pain she's in. I had to reply to this as I had an undiagnosed slipped disc for three years and have chronic pain. I told her that I did understand and that I have to live in pain every single day. I don't know why she makes me so crazy, I also don't know why she refuses to help herself.

@StormyCornishSeas yes it's a Swift Challenger Sport, currently swaying in the wind in Lincolnshire. The kids have been at the fair all day, said sloth was the result of their fun-filled day.

It was brilliant!
