The house is chaos. I’m not well. Two children are running around like feral cats.

What’s DH doing? Making creme brûlée.

I don’t care, it’ll be delicious but it’s the last thing we need.

This is lighthearted btw - DH is not a twat or ignoring us/kids etc.

Sat at a really noisy soft play trying to tire out my dd and her friend who is sleeping over tonight and I am still recovering from an extremely alcoholic few days away with friends!! The saving grace is dh is at home cooking Sunday dinner.

Hello from the other side! All DCs have left home now, last one only a week ago after returning for lockdown. DH and I are reading. The house is calm and tidy, no sheets and towels draped over every surface, no piles of trainers to trip over. No tinny podcasts or random YouTube shouting from other rooms. The oven is pinging to tell me some tiny delicious delights are ready, no industrial ‘fuelling teenager’ cooking in the household- we had a nut roast for lunch. It’s lovely!

I dream of those days when there aren't 45 pairs of smelly trainers decorating the hallway 😂

DH has gone to Old Trafford so I went with the DC and DS1’s gf to meet my bro and SIL for lunch at a carvery.

We picked up some eclairs on the way home and intend to eat them watching the football shortly.

I’ll put fresh sheets back on the bed in a bit, mustn’t forget to do that before bed.

My kids have been watching tv all day and refused to leave the house. I’ve mostly been hiding in the kitchen browsing on my phone. Not a good day

I have been cleaning the kitchen ALL day. A proper clean. Well overdue. Still have more to do but it looks nice so I’m stopping 😂 did want to clean out some of the other cupboards but have ran out of steam!! Trying to be more organised. Will see how long it lasts.

Both DD are out playing with their friends. One is in her friends garden over the back, I can hear them all having fun. The other is a wee bit older and has ventured to the park.

I have put a chicken in the oven for dinner and am I’m now running a bath.

DH disappeared and was “making a table”…wish it was a creme brûlée tbh! After a bit of a moan from me, he is currently sorting out some laundry.

My 5 year old has shut himself in his brothers room with his guitar and is singing to Genesis songs in an Ironman costume.

Just been up to my daughters room. Every barbie is out. Every vehicle. Every outfit. Every show.

She's on a strict warning that if the Lego makes an appearance the barbie stuff goes away beforehand.

Literally cannot take another day like last week sorting shoes from lego.

Went shopping. DH is chopping potatoes to make mash and I'm going to pop to Waitrose in a minute in the hope that they have some cooked chickens.

Ds and I had a cooked breakfast!

Watched a film. I had a bath.

Will be going out soon as both timekeeping at a swimming event for a few hours. On the only day of the week he doesn't swim 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤣

I had a coughing fit, changed toddler’s nappy and now I’m breaking cardboard boxes.

Basically avoiding making meringue.

I’ve had numerous readings telling me a male energy will be bringing me a financial reward for my hard work.

Today the postman brings me a 10% off at Iceland voucher.

I don’t even shop at Iceland, I shop at Tesco.

Wasn’t today, it was yesterday.

DH and I are both chilling between footy matches on TV and resting. He's ill and I've hurt my leg. DD1 was out with her boyfriend for lunch but now she's back both DC are doing chores around the house for us.

I am having my time well and truly wasted by everyone. Our buyers have taken 4 months to get surveys and checks done, and then told us on Friday just gone that they need to complete this coming Friday. So we are packing in a hurry.

I am also selling things on Facebook marketplace. Someone told me yesterday he would come and collect our garden table and chairs today at 12pm. I asked him at 10.30 if he was still okay to collect at 12. Yes he is. At 12.30 he messages me to say he was held up and could he come at 3pm instead. Yes that's fine. So at 3.05pm he messages me to say "I'm on my way". Finally arrives at 3.40. No cash. So off he goes to get cash and I put the table and chairs on the front lawn. He comes back. "Yeah it'll fit in the car no problem." It won't fit. Have you got an Allen key? Yes. Snapped the screw. "Oh I'll have to leave it love". For the first time in my life, I told someone how displeased I was that he wasted my time and then broke what I was selling, making it more difficult for me to sell on. I sat on my front lawn in one of my garden chairs and phoned DP to tell him how displeased I am.

It has also pushed my roast dinner back, as I should have put it in the oven at 4pm and didn't put it in until 4.15. I'm not pleased at all.

I'm sat on the sofa in my pjs with a stinking cold and sore throat feeling sorry for myself. Watching rubbish TV.

DD1 has gone to buy ingredients to make a cake and DD2 has gone to meet a friend to 'go shopping'. DH is doing diy. I feel guilty sitting doing nothing but not guilty enough to move

No kids here, just me & the 2 cats who think the back door is revolving! Been nursing a hangover after works do last night (I blame the pure Jamaican rum smuggled In by work colleague!)...Best friend has delivered me a KFC boneless banquet with salted peanuts & a large bar of dairy milk bless her! Currently Watching old Catherine Cooksons whilst planning by text with friend a 7 day mini cruise at the end of November

And the switch on the kettle has broken so I can't even make a hot drink easily

I’m sitting in the soft play at Butlin’s (actually no worse than normal soft play). DH is trying (and failing) to book a taxi for his early train home tomorrow.

Put a load of dp's clothes into the washing machine without checking the pockets. All his dark clothes have come out covered in little bits of white tissue paper! And a £5 note has been well washed!

DH unwell with a cold so he's laying around watching Brassic in between short bouts of playing Call of Duty, and brief activities like cleaning out the hoover. Dog has been whining for his 5pm dinner since 3pm. I'm listening to Brassic and Call of Duty whilst trying to learn how to macrame something for a crochet project.

Just finished a brilliant book I've been reading, disappointed with myself that I cried at the ending - my period isn't even due!

Now about to sort out the dog's tea, trying to train him to wait without jumping all over me for his food. 😂

DS (17) is on his very last warning or he is out on his ear to his dads (who has no idea of the shit I'm putting up with) I've taken my whole weekend to gut his room after pleading with him to do it as the smell was permeating into the rest of the house. He's now been left to put his clean bedding on and tidy his fly tying stuff (I'm
Not allowed to touch) and I now have a beer, I plan to get pished tonight as I'm sick fed up of him!! Bugger the fact I'm facilitating the last week of a four week training course I'm prepared to do it with a hangover as I've had no weekend whatsoever!!

I’ve been to a pumpkin patch with Ds and decided to make my own pumpkin vase … way too much time on my hands.
