By talking about the environment to try and get us to forget about the racist allegations. I'd even go as far to say that what the queen said was all staged to make it more of a headline.

To think that the royal family is not racist is so redickulous...they are more than racist, they think their blood line nevermind race is worthy of all their wealth and luxuries over other people.

@Cuddlyrottweiler

Of course they are. Every little thing they do is to maintain their fragile position at the top. Always has been. People are ridiculous to think there's anything real about them.

I think their childhoods were shit though, many actually abusive and I think they're kinda brainwashed , like they're raised in a cult.

Agree with everything you've said here.

Amazing political commentary there.
CityMumma78 · 16/10/2021 21:59

YABU and talking utter nonsense 🙄

PreparationPreparationPrep · 18/10/2021 20:15

@QueenDanu

Do you think that that Megan has suffered more rejections, more put downs, more exclusions, more sly digs, more sexist remarks, more pay inequalities, more pay cuts, more closed doors, experienced being passed over more often for promotion, been ignored more, left off guest lists more etc than a very ordinary looking white woman? I really doubt that myself. Serious question, why does she attribute every 'no' as racist?
I think some people ignore the way the seas literally part for beauty.I wonder if she'd swap Freak.

I'm not sure of your point about comparing the ordinary working class white woman To MH It's like comparing M&H with myself and saying because she hasn't received the level of racist or sexist abuse I have means she hasn't really experienced it . I think the point is that the working class white females may experience discrimination for all sorts of reasons. but not the colour of her skin. A black woman can be discriminated against for everything you mentioned above as well being black.

Yabvu
Ffs does it actually matter if good comes out of it??
You sound like you’ve got a big chip on your shoulder.

The UK is a sham democracy and the Windsors are a big, big part of the problem.

In what way is the U.K. a "sham democracy"? And how do the Windsors play a part in that?
Hmm

CSIblonde · 19/10/2021 01:05

@Icomeinpeace Diana's bloodline makes the Royals look middle class. Courtesy of 2 aristocrat ancestors who were royal mistresses to two different Kings. She is also distantly related to seven US Presidents & Winston Churchill .

Rollmopsrule · 19/10/2021 04:17

Any poster that has commented on the Op's spelling may aswell have a huge neon sign saying I'm a knob! It's just cringe.

gofg · 19/10/2021 04:30

Oh do get over yourself!

gofg · 19/10/2021 04:37

I love how the thinly veiled envy always surfaces on any threads about the royals, or indeed any wealthy people, on MN.

almaonao · 19/10/2021 05:57

@GladAllOver

Nonsense. It's good to hear that the Queen has commented on what could be considered a political matter. I've never noticed her being the slightest bit racist.
The op is basically bollocks. But your reply Hmm Be serious

Hmm

It was explained upthread. Also explained by various posters on most of the other politics and RF threads.

The racism comment came from Meghan, along with a host of lies.
Just look at all the colours and creeds of people the royals have mixed with over the queens reign.
You are very gullible if you believe this attempt by Meghan and the media to shit stir.

Roussette · 19/10/2021 08:53

Haha... that's a cracker of a post!

'Mixed with'.... my oh my. We should be so in awe of who they 'mix with' given their noble blood!

What lies now?

TheKeatingFive · 19/10/2021 09:32

Yeah and I remember what Philip said to/about some of them too.

Trying to deny racism in the royal family is absolutely bizarre as it is right there, on the public record.

I don't think you understand racism. Racism is not as simple as you won't mix with black people, or won't have black friends. And after the racism accusation, the papers were full of William with his black friend. The message was clearly, hey I cant be racist, I have a black friend. Such bullshit.
ChurchofLatterDayPaints · 19/10/2021 10:04

I wish some posters would just admit it, they love the RF because it reflects their own views. The ignorance and flat-earthing on here is relentless.

RF total silence on racism speaks volumes. Instead of remaining entrenched in their position as ignorant colonial relics and dividing the UK even further, they could have seized the opportunity to redefine themselves. Actions (or omissions) speak louder than words.

"By protocol, the monarchy does not comment on political issues but its role is to offer moral leadership. Without explicitly endorsing Black Lives Matter, the Windsors could have contributed to the zeitgeist by offering statements condemning all forms of racism and visibly championing anti-racism charities." from theconversation.com/the-royal-family-cant-keep-ignoring-its-colonialist-past-and-racist-present-156749

Can you give us some examples of them mixing - are we talking QE and PP. Andrew and his children or Anne and her children. Over the years
VladmirsPoutine · 19/10/2021 10:06

You mean an entire family steeped in colonisation and subjugation is racist? Come on, pull the other one! And Meghan a half Black woman saying she experienced racism! What would she know!

Changemaname1 · 19/10/2021 10:07

I read that as tactile and was confused as fuck

julieca · 19/10/2021 10:28

Williams one black friend and why he cant be racist. I knew when the papers were full of this that it was William who had been racist about Meghan and Archie..

Moral leadership??? Unfortunately that's ship has not only sailed, but is over the horizon and into the next hemisphere ...

ChurchofLatterDayPaints · 19/10/2021 10:54

Yes I know, Puzzled. I think all the RF's legitimacy ships have sailed, basically.
