Systemic rascim is far more subtle than someone using racist words. It's about who they value, who they employ etc.

Iwould like her if she talked about racism more from the perspective of what other black women have to face. I agree. Meghan is only half black for starters, and if you weren't aware of who her mother is yours probably think Meghan was white if you met her.

Thing is its really fucking hypocritical of them to say peolle aren't taking it seriously when they roll around in their 4x4, private planes and trains. Like fuck off seriously. They aren't going to have to fork out thousands of pounds for stupid hest pumps of whatever u realistically expensive hesting system we have to get after 2035.

They can afford to buy electric cars but don't yet if your on minimum wage in London by the end of the month if you don't have a car that complies with the emissions you have to pay a daily charge. Some people cannot afford to buy expensive newer cars and have you seen the price of second hand cars!

They are supposed to represent the UK so why don't they make a Stathern saying we are doing as much if not more than most other world leaders and maybe the likes of China and India should be doing more to get to our level first instead of forcing UK citizens to be zero carbon at great cost to those individuals whilst other countries undo everything we are doing in a matter of days.

When she started out in acting, her agent told her that she would be difficult to find parts for because she wasnt black enough to be the "black woman" in a show, but she wasnt white enough to get the white roles. Would be hard to cast as a family member, unless they introduced a mixed race family, which is unusual on American TV.

I'm with you, OP. Everyone is laughing at your comment but there's nothing more supremacist than aristocracy. They justify their unearned wealth with 'ordained by God' and gloss over the fact that most of what they have is from slavery, imperial theft and feudalism/serfdom.

I think they're being both hypocritical and quite stupid. As Chris Packham recently pointed out, they are the biggest landowners in the UK and could set an example by rewilding a decent part of their land. The way it's maintained for grouse shooting etc causes soil erosion and reduces diversity.

Once they've clearly demonstrated they've taken steps to address their own carbon contribution they can call on others to do so.

Worth pointing out most royal estates use hydro-electric or ground source heat, Charles was campaigning on the environment before most politicians could spell it and the Queen is famously prudent in her domestic arrangements. So not fair at all.

Which racism allegations? The ones from Meghan? Do they need to distract people from that right now, it’s not really still being discussed. And it’s certainly not the most negative story around the royal family currently.

That said, the queen is generally incredibly discreet, with her actual opinion on things not often revealed. I don’t think she does anything by accident, so I wouldn’t be massively surprised if it was deliberate (and I’d say the same about her China comments a few years ago). I’m not saying there definitely was another motive in either case, just that I wouldn’t find it hard to believe it if there was.
