Would you let them?
They can all be a bit overexcitable

Would I let them do what?

Luzina · 09/10/2021 14:59

Let them do what?

Notimeforaname · 09/10/2021 14:59

Go where,doing what?

nothingcanhurtmewithmyeyesshut · 09/10/2021 14:59

Depends where. Down McDonald's, crack on. Taking the train into London for a day, not so much.

Veuvelily · 09/10/2021 15:00

Just hanging out at home
No special occasion

Go to the park for the afternoon? Yes.
Go to Magaluf for the weekend? No.

HTH

Envoitrevisage · 09/10/2021 15:01

I’d let them go to the park in the middle of the afternoon. I’d let them play Xbox in the man cave.

I probably wouldn’t let them go to London at 2am or to a drug den to learn how to make crack.

Veuvelily · 09/10/2021 15:02

Evening til midnight

Well you’re no fun 🤣
toomuchlaundry · 09/10/2021 15:06

I would want an adult nearby, certainly think it might be a recipe for disaster otherwise

Fashionesta · 09/10/2021 15:07

How many? Doing what? Are parents coming back at midnight? Not much info to go on 🤷

XelaM · 09/10/2021 15:07

Are you saying they would just stay at home and hang out? Of course, why wouldn't you let them?

Literally no adults in the house at all? No way

GreyhoundG1rl · 09/10/2021 15:10

@Veuvelily

Just hanging out at home No special occasion
Why?
Hellocatshome · 09/10/2021 15:11

Not in my house, something would definitely get broken.

TimeForLunch · 09/10/2021 15:13

Basically a party? This is what my 14 soon to be 15 yo wants to do. I'm not comfortable with it as I know alcohol will be involved as that seems to be the thing with this age group now. Other parents are allowing and facilitating it.

Veuvelily · 09/10/2021 15:13

14 yr olds invited to a house for a evening of just hanging out. No special occasion, so no activity planned. Parents won’t be home til at a least midnight.
No other adult present
Boys not particularly sensible and can be very silly and excitable ime.

I hate these guessing threads.

They don't charge by the word on here, op... Why don't you say who you are in this scenario? In as many words as you need for it to make sense.
Fluffypastelslippers · 09/10/2021 15:19

You mean a party?

No. Not without adults.

Notimeforaname · 09/10/2021 15:25

I really dont see the harm. I did it , we would just sit in someone's shed or living room and some would play xbox/playstation. Its what teens do.

Veuvelily · 09/10/2021 15:26

Sorry
I wasn’t trying to be cryptic
Just pressed post too early !

My parents would be out til about midnight. At 14 I would have maybe 6 friends. Boys and girls. No drinking. Sitting around talking, being silly. Making prank calls etc.

Peanutsandchilli · 09/10/2021 15:34

No.

Half that number, with an adult present, perhaps.
